    Bold, yet sweet.

    Bette has made it to JFK airport to meet Kit and Jean to start their visit. She spots them, pulls over the hops out of the car. She and Kit squeal and embrace. Jean loads the luggage into the trunk and just beams at the love he sees between the sisters. He clears his throat and holds out his arms for a hug from Bette. She greets him with a hug and a kiss on the cheek and they load into the car.

    Bette: Ok so which will it be first, food or sleep?

    Jean: Food!

    They laugh and chat, quickly passing the time back to Manhattan. Bette parks the car and they head up to the apartment.

    Kit: It is completely different than the house, but still has that familiar homey feel to it. This is nice.

    Jean: This place is awesome and especially for New York it’s wonderful. Parking in the building is rare in the city. Do you have a doorman?

    Bette: Yes we do. Let me show you the bedrooms then we can head out for breakfast. This is your room and Tina’s office. That TV is connected to the cable.

    Jean: Oh I’m all set now. Big bed, HDTV and a remote.

    Kit: I love the way her office folds right up and locks, perfect for a shared guest room.

    Bette: Let’s take a look at the baby’s room. She is really at home here and I did the most decorating in her room.

    Kit: This precious. Oh, she has a picture with her auntie Kit on the shelf. I love the pink, so sweet and girly.

    Jean: Yes, this is adorable. I had a son and now a grandson so I didn’t get to enjoy any of this soft stuff, but it really is very cute.

    Bette: Well her Mommy is starting a doll habit for our baby so we’ll sign you up as a donor Jean.

    Jean: That little girl is so sweet I’d be pressed to say no to anything she asks.

    Kit: Yea, you are a big softee. I’ve got to admit she gets to me too.

    Bette: Hey, I need to tell you something. Tina and I have realized that the cross country travel has been a bit too much for the baby. So we’ve decided to just move Angelica here after the next trip. So as of March Angelica will be here in New York with me full time. I’ll be visiting pre schools next week and hopefully have her enrolled by the time they are back here. Tina will come after the house is sold. If it sells quickly it will be before Christmas.

    2. Yes!!! Happy lives for the Porter girls. I’m kind interested to see how Bette treats David. It’s a tough position to be in, because I’d imagine Bette was a big part of David’s life when he was little, and David would in many ways be a big reminder of Melvin, yet he was also an ass. I trust you to show us this conflict in Bette really well, because you’ve done a great job so far. Thanks, lwsho!

    5. Jeeze…I went to bed last night and missed the 3rd update. Never mind I read it tonight…awesome, awsome, awesome! I think that Bette and Kit should have a double wedding…either in Canada or one of the more liberated US states. I would also like to see Bette and David make up…seems like a good opportunity to me.     10. Hey I am loving the story so far. You have given such a good attention to detail its very nice to get to know so many things. I am happy for Tibette and can’t wait till Tina gets to be in NY full time. Hmm…about the David situation…till now, Bette has brought up at least twice about how he was an ass and insulting to her in the past but every time I haven’t seen Kit acknowledging it. It seems like she is ignoring it which upsets me. So I will wait to see how it goes in future. Thanks for the story. PPVS :)
