BANG! BANG! BANG!

The knocks on the door get louder and louder…Tina stands and says

Tina: “how rude” she walks over to the door and says “who is it?”

Karen: “it’s Karen Tina…is Bette there?” Tina’s raises her brow and gazes over at Bette…she says “who does that little witch think she is” she turned towards the door

Bette leaped across the room and said

Bette: “I’ll handle it T…relax…have a seat” she pulls a chair out

Tina sits down…Bette goes over to the door and opens it…Karen comes inside and Bette closes the door…she turns to Karen who turns to Bette…she places her hands on her waist and says

Karen: “did you forget our meeting today at noon?” she stands waiting for a response

Bette: “no…I didn’t forget…I just decided not to give you the money”

Karen: “WHAT?” Karen raised her voice echoing around the room

Tina stood from her chair and said

Tina: “you heard her…she said she decided that she wouldn’t give you the money…that means she’s gonna keep it” she stands with her hands on her waist

Bette stepped over to Tina and said

Bette: “T…I got this”

Tina: “you better say something or I will Bette…” she sits back down”

Bette: “okay…okay…” she inhales and walks back over to Karen…she says “I’m sorry but I can’t lend you that type of money…I’ve only known you for a few weeks and I don’t know you enough to just give you that money…” she shakes her head

Tears weld up in Karen’s eyes…she says

Karen: “but Bette I ‘ll pay you back…I promise” she places her hands togetheras though she were praying

Bette shakes her head saying

Bette: “I’m sorry Karen but I can’t…” she lowers her head

Tears fall more and more before the brunette and the blond…Tina’s still not buying it she thinks it’s an act…Bette walks into the bathroom and retrieves some tissue…she passes it to Karen…the red head blows her nose and wipes her face clearing it of tears…she says

Karen: “what am I gonna do?” she says “I have to drop out…this was my dream to attend this university and study here like my mother did”

Tina stands having been fed enough she says

Tina: “Karen we’ll both sorry to hear that you have to leave…but…her decision’s final…” she opens the front door

Karen cries even harder…Bette finds it hard to bear…she leaves Tina and Karen alone and goes into the bathroom until she leaves…five minutes later the red-head left Tina’s apartment…she stepped out into the hall and Tina closed the door in her face…she went to the bathroom door and knocked she said

Tina: “babe…she’s gone…you could come out now” she waited for Bette to open the door

Bette opened the door slowly and walked out into the hall…she bowed her head and shook it…Tina walked up to her and wrapped her arms around her neck…she says

Tina: “are you okay?”

Bette shook her head and said

Bette: “yeah…” she slid her hands up and down Tina’s back

Bette steps back and says

Bette: “do you mind if I go and check on her?” she stands waiting for a response

Tina: “no…go ahead” she rubs the side of her cheek…she kisses her and says “I love you”

Bette smiles and says

Bette: “I love you too”

Bette turns and heads towards the door…she walks downstairs…she unlocks her front door and the bathroom light was on…she heard the sound of shower water running…she closed and locked the front door…she said

Bette: “Karen…where are you?”

The red-head never answered…she approached the bathroom door and pushed it open…The bathroom was filled with alot of mist and hot steam…she waved her hand in front of her clearing the way so she could see…she approached the curtain and pulled it back

Bette: “JESUS!…OH MY GOD!….” she backed away tripping over the broom

Bette gets to her feet and runs into her bedroom and grabs her cellphone…she calls 911

911 operatior: “911 what is your emergency?”

Bette: “I NEED HELP!…” she cries and sobbs over the phone

911 operator: “ma’am you have to try to relax…I can’t hear you because your hyperventilating” she inhales and says “what happened?”

Bette: “MMY…FFRIEND….SSHE…” Bette finds it hard to breath…she falls to the floor flat on her knees…she collapses onto her belly…the phone breaks in two…

She can no longer feel herself…she passes out…
