Chapter 108

They are now boarding the plane. They find their seats. It’s almost in the middle, above the wings. Tina has the window seat. Bette takes Tina’s jacket and her own and put it in the compartment above along with their purses.

“Oh Bette, I forgot to take out my book. Could you get it?” Tina asks, smiling at Bette.

“Yeah, sure.” Bette says and stands up and takes out the book from Tina’s purse. She gives it to Tina and sits back down. “Here you go.” Bette says.

“Thanks babe.” Tina replies. After another 40 minutes they are heading out to runway.

An hour later:

Tina is reading, while Bette has fallen asleep, leaning onto her shoulder. She looks down at Bette and smiles as she leans down and kisses the top of Bette’s head. That makes Bette stir a little, but she doesn’t wake up.

By the time Bette wakes up a few hours later, Tina has finished 6 chapters.

The stewardesses is handing out a small meal pack with juice.

“Hey babe, slept well?” Tina asks.

“Yeah, what time is it?” Bette asks.

“We’ve been in the air for about three hours. It’s 11.30.” Tina replies.

“Oh, I’ve been asleep for two hours?” Bette asks.

“Yep.” Tina replies.

“I’m sorry.” Bette says and sits straight up.

“You’re sorry? About what?” Tina asks.

“For sleeping and not keeping you company.” Bette says.

“Oh, you’ve kept me company. Just listening to your heartbeat is company to me. And I’ve read, I’ve finished 6 chapters. I have 6 left, which I will read on the flight back.” Tina says and smiles.

“Well, I’m all yours from now.” Bette replies.

“Good.” Tina says and leans over and kisses her softly on the lips. They get a few looks from the other passengers, but they don’t care.

“So, have thought about what you want to do when we get there?” Bette asks taking a hold of Tina’s hand.

“Yeah, there’s some museums I want to see, and off course the Eiffel tower.” Tina replies.
“Okay.” Bette says.

“Have you thought about it?” Tina asks back.

“Yeah, there’s some museums I want to visit too. We’ll find out as we go along. I don’t think we’ll be bored.” Bette says and let out a little laugh.
