Chapter 116

Two days later Tina’s cell rings.

“Hello?” She says.

“Babe, hi.” Bette says.

“Are you calling because you’re coming?” Tina asks.

“Yes, sort of. I’m calling to ask if you’ll be at the apartment at 6 tonight?” Bette asks.

“I can be yes.” Tina says.

“Okay, good, I’m sending over a car for you, I’m landing at 6.30 so then you’ll come and pick me up and I’ll take you out to dinner. How does that sound?” Bette asks.

“Oh, babe. I can’t wait.” Tina says.

“Okay, then it’s settled, I have to go, I have a meeting. I just wanted to hear your voice. Love you, see you soon.” Bette says.

“Love you.” Tina gets to say before Bette hangs up.

Tina smiles and walks into the bedroom and checks her suitcase for some appropriate clothes, but she can’t find anything. Nothing felt right.

‘Should I go out shopping?’ She thinks to herself. ‘Yeah maybe later, now I’ll make some breakfast.’ She had been to the store yesterday to buy some food.

A couple of hours later there’s a knock at the door. Tina gets up and opens. There stands a FedEx guy with a package.

“Hello Ms. I have a package for you, if you just sign here.” He says and holds up a piece of paper. Tina signs it and takes the box.

The guy leave and Tina closes the door and walks back into the living room and takes a seat on the couch. She open the box up. First revealing an envelope. She opens it up and reads it.

“T, my love

I’ve missed you, a week, it’s too much.

I never want to be without you for that long

ever again. I saw this in a store here in Ohio and I thought

of you right away. I started to imagine you in it, so I just had to buy it.

Please wear this when the car is picking you up tonight.

I can’t wait to look at you again. I love you.

B.”

Tears are streaming down Tina’s face. She takes out the dress and holds it up.

“Oh my, it’s beautiful.” She says out loud as the tears keep running.

Later, it’s now 6 and Tina is waiting in the kitchen. She’s dressed in the dress that Bette sent, she’s wearing her hair up, like Bette likes it.
