“Why?” Tina asks.

“I have a job interview.” Angel says and grins.

“Wow, you do? Angel, that’s great.” Tina says and smiles and gives him a hug.

“Where?” She asks.

“It’s for a gardening company.” Angel says. “Could you maybe be my reference person?” He asks.

“Off course. Angel, I’m really proud of you.” Tina says and smiles at him.

“Thank you.” He says and smiles.

“If you get the job, ask for a contract. Bring it in tomorrow and I’ll help you with it.” Tina says.

“Yes, sure.” Angel says. He can’t read properly. But he’s working really hard on that in one of the programs here at the centre.

“Okay, you can go back to class. I’ll tell Miss Morales that you are allowed to go earlier.” Tina says and smiles.

“Thank you miss Tina.” Angel says.

“You’re welcome Angel.” Tina says. He leaves the office.

Over at the Planet, Noah is digging into his plate of ice cream. Around the table is Bette, Shane and Alice.

“Is it good?” Alice asks him.

“Yes.” He replies and continues to eat.

“You know, he’s stomach’s gonna hurt later on.” Alice says and looks at Bette.

“I know. That way, he’ll learn not to eat so much again. We did the same thing with Danny. He learned.” Bette says and smiles at Alice.

“You’re an evil mother.” Alice grins at her.

“Yeah. Just terrible.” Bette says and grins back.

Back at the centre. It’s now 2 hours since they left home. Tina picks up her cell phone and walks out of her office and down the hall to the room Danny and Timmy is playing. She stops in the doorway and smiles. She dials a number.

“Hey, babe. How’s he doing?” Tina asks.

“He’s been eating a great deal of ice cream. I’m waiting for the stomach ache to begin.” Bette says.

“Yeah, it will come.” Tina says and smiles.

“So, how’s things at the centre?” Bette asks.

“Good. Angel’s got a job interview today. So we’re on cloud nine about that.” Tina says and lets out a little laugh.

“That’s good.” Bette says. “So, when will you be home?” She asks.

“I think I’ll let Danny play a little longer. He’s having a great time with Timmy. I need to finish some paperwork, but In an hour or so. Is that okay?” She says.

“Off course it’s okay. Me and Noah will bring dinner from the Planet. Any suggestions?” Bette asks.

“Just pick something. I like everything. “Tina says and smiles.

“Okay. Love you and drive carefully.” Bette says.

“I will and I love you too. See you soon.” She says and hangs up.

She stand and watches Danny and Timmy a little while longer before walking back to her office.

An hour later Tina and Danny walks through the front door.

“Mama, mama.” Danny calls out as he runs into the house.

“I’m in the bedroom sweetie.” Bette calls out. Danny comes running in. He has a piece of paper in his hand.

“Here.” He says and gives the paper to her.

“What’s this?” Bette says and takes a seat on the bedside and looks at the paper.

Danny stand between her legs and points and tells.

“It’s you and mommy and me and Noah. And that’s the Planet and there’s the ice cream.” He says and smiles his biggest smile at her.

“It’s very good. Thank you. I’ll put it up on the fridge.” Bette says and stands up. “Come on, you can help me.” Bette says and walks into the kitchen. She pulls a chair with her and helps Danny up. “You can use these magnets.” Bette says and points to two free ones.

“Okay.” He replies and hangs the drawing up. Bette helps him down again. They walk into the living room where Noah and Tina is seated on the couch, looking through a picture book. Danny climbs up into the sofa and sit down next to Noah. Bette takes a seat next to Danny and put her arm above the kids and she just reaches Tina’s shoulder. She softly touch it and smiles.

“Mommy, what’s that?” Noah asks as he points to a picture of an tractor.

“That’s a tractor. A big car they have on farms.” Tina replies.

“And that?” He ask pointing to a barn.

“That’s the barn, where all the farm animals live.” Tina says and smiles down at Danny and Noah and then over at Bette.
