Chapter 74
Later they drive home to the apartment.
They walk up and into the apartment.
“Are you sure you’ll be okay by yourself?” Bette asks.
“Yes, I’ll call Shane over or something. Take your time, and Bette please don’t jump at her throat okay?” Tina replies.
“I won’t, I promise.” Bette says and leans down and kisses Tina softly on the lips.
“I love you.” Tina says.
“I love you too, bye.” Bette says and leaves.
Jessie waited down by the car in the meantime.
Bette walks out.
“Okay, let’s go.” Bette says and speeds off towards the Valley again.
Up in the apartment Tina calls Shane.
“Hey Shane, doing anything now?” She asks.
“Hey TK, no I’m just hanging out in front of the TV.” Shane says and let out a little laugh.
“Want to come over for a little while? Bette is out and she doesn’t like it that I’m home alone.” Tina says.
“Yeah, sure. I’ll come right over. I’ll see you in
“Thanks.” Tina says and hangs up.
Outside Jessie’s previous house..:
Bette parks the car in the driveway.
“So here we are, are you okay?” Bette asks.
“Yeah, I’m okay, just a little nervous. Chances are that he’s home and he won’t be smiling, that’s for sure.” Jessie replies.
“You think he’s capable of more than just touching?” Bette asks.
“Yeah.” Jessie says.
“I’ll bring the phone, just in case.” Bette says. “Come on.” Bette adds and gets out of the car. They walk up to the door and ring the bell.
It’s Stephanie that opens.
“Hello Stephanie, we’re here to pick up Jessie’s things. Could we come in?” Bette says in a calm but strict voice. Stephanie is in a little shock. ‘There’s a celebrity at my door’ She thinks. She just walks aside and let them in.
“So where’s your room?” Bette asks Jessie.
“It’s upstairs.” Jessie says.
“Okay, let’s go.” Bette says.
“Jessie walks first and Bette follows.
Stephanie is still in shock downstairs by the door. Just then her husband comes home. He’s been at the store.
“Is she here?” He asks a little angry.
“Yeah, she’s upstairs with Bette Porter the golfer.” Stephanie replies.
“She’s what?” He asks as he starts to walk up the stairs.

ina doesn’t want anyone messing with her Baby,we found that out with her brother in the hospital. bet she going to be angry. Thank goodness her lawyer was on the phone. Now jess will be safe I just hope Stephine will be okay one reason is she has children . thanks so much for this chapter,

WOW, Tina will throw the wheelchair on him, lol poor Jess and poor Bette but she was brave and dosent let this man frighten her now lets see what is going to happen when Tina sees Bette bleeding, and Stephanie was a coward she dosent even cared about Jess and forgot that things like that could happen to her own children great chatpter L

Oh, my god. Another great chapter from your hand – for a moment you actually got me quite scared. Can´t wait to hear what Tina´s gonna say to Bette´s nose and how it will be to have Jessie under the same roof.
great finaly someone will put this horrible man in his place and he is some kind of a dumb hiting on Bette´s face? a famous person he is an ass to harassment a young girl and hit a woman i was wondering if he hit his wife too and Tina is going to kick his a** too thanks for the chapter

Lauren..OMG. This jerk should be arrested..and Stephanie should be the one to call the cops. Through all of that Bette is still calm enough to ask her lawyer to take care of the matter. Poor Jessie…at least she had Bette there. Tina’s going to freak out when she sees Bette. She’ll probably feel guilty because she asked Bette to go. I hope not. Thanks for the chapter.

God, this man was even worst than one could think ! And incredibly stupid enough to hit a famous golfer who has all the power to take charges against him.
Now about Stephanie, this woman is incredible : all she was able to express was her surprise to see a “celebrity” in her home ! Not a word to Jessie, until her husband was endly caught in all his splendor. And even after that, she even didn’t try to retain Jessie. No doubt she was much more ashamed in front of the “celebrity” than truly sorry for what she did to Jessie… For me, she should share the same guilt that her man : they’re two of a kind.
At least, this hard moment was perfect to increase Bette and Jessie’s affectionate relationships and that’s great.
And, by the way, here will be an ideal opportunity for Tina to be the nurse here – for change ! – taking care of her brave swollen-faced knight !

oh my pretty intense…Tina will freak when she sees Bettes cute little face hurt like that..where were Bettes golf-club to hit him?..lol..and about Steph she wakes to late but better late than ever she have to leave this monster for her own well and her kids..hope see him in jail soon..great chapter Lauren cant wait for more soon thanks :o)

We all know that once Tina gets one good look at Bette, she is going to be PISSED! Hopefully being pissed will prevent her from feeling guilty as Marti says.

TB, I agree with you completely. Stephanie couldn’t get past the fact that there was a celebrity in the house. And just like Jessie didn’t know of the impeding adoption, I’m sure Stephanie didn’t know either. Before Jessie walked out of that house for the final time, Stephanie should have embraced her and given her the deepest apology she could pull out of herself.
I can see this experience cementing a permanent bond between Bette and Jessie.
