    Let’s say the remarkable happens – a great looking star appears, and suddenly we have an A List actor to play one of the lesbians. A real leap right there! It’s a tricky, tricky acting role. If the director is bad, you as an actor are screwed. When dailies come back, and it’s clear a director is bombing then budgets get slashed and any artistry you brought to your sex scenes gets lost in the budget slashed editing.

    They’re two ways the film editing can go if the studio decides to cut it fast and get it out the door. For an actor, your sex scenes get cut so they’re pornographic and then, it’s straight to a NC 17 DVD. A star doesn’t want that and a producer doesn’t want that, so, I’ll dream the fantastic. Let’s say this goes into production, and depending on what kind of influence I can keep over the creative, I may be able to scramble the names and places around where no one is the wiser, and the story never points to me.

    Except Jenny will know.

    Chances are once her agents see what a maniac she is they’ll drop her if she doesn’t go along and cooperate with me, and the Studio. That will leave her broke, and flopping like a fish. Then, I scoop her up, dry her tears and Bev and Nina become Carol and Suzanne for all I care. Just anything except me and Bette as Bev and Nina. Anything.

    On second thought, if Les Girls takes two or three turns for the worse once it gets underway then of course Bette will have to kill her. There‘s no way she’s going to take all this exposure, and creepy personal invasiveness lying down. In other words, the ceiling will not be consulted in one of her long pensive stares. She’ll just beat Jenny’s door down, and then it’s anyone’s guess what happens next.

    I smile to myself at the thought. I’m certain I can find the stomach to do to some forceful underhanded maneuvering on my own with Jenny. Given the blowback and consequences, I don’t see any other options. None of this will be easy, but maybe it is time for a great lesbian themed movie – just not starring an ersatz of me at my worst moments.

    3. I loved Tina’s narration. But the perfect touch was Bette’s phone call at the very end. I can just imagine her rant of epithets spewing forth like lava from a volcano. Or green pea soup from the mouth of Linda Blair in “The Exorcist”. In the flashbacks, you captured the carnality, the love, the very essence of their sexual relationship. They devoured each other. They are both generous lovers and enjoy being totally consumed by and w/each other.

    4. Thanks for giving us an insight in Tina’s work. I have always wondered what she thought of Jenny’s novel and how embarrassed she must have been having her most intimate details of her life made into a movie. You have an incredible talent for penning delightful and romantic meetings of the heart and soul and this chapter didn’t disappoint. It is great to see Tina recalling Bette’s tongue tales from the recipient point of view. Hmm…Henry’s not satisfying her anymore?

That wasn’t what I expected but you were divine once again in writing the words in such a way that it revealed Tina’s inner thoughts on so many things, her work, her Bette and her intimacy with the woman she loves and why. Excellent journey to discovery with Tina and that famous tongue. Everything seems to fall into place perfectly and the words create just enough so our minds have to fill in a few details, but once again, your writing is extraordinary! Thanks so enjoyed the read!

Blackbird…. you’re really torturing me on 3 reasons in this story…one, the most intense “out of my heavy breath” reading on Tina on her memories and the art Bette done on her breastfeeding with Bette, in her sexual mood. 2) i just laughed so hard on Tina on her vibrator and how she doesn’t know how to use it from the beginning. 3) the loveable sexual pic of tina and tina/bette. you nailed this one.

I had to stop several times just to get to the ending, for crying outline that was too much in one chapter, I cant stand it much longer these two so fucking seductive in their narrations and very detailed that its unbearable to only be allowed to imagine it and not feel it lol…I need tibette in full force again soon its breaking my heart

    13. While thinking about a new story for my Season 7 timeline, Touch Tones, I did a nice rewrite and polish on this erotic story from Tina’s POV. As you reread this, I hope you’ll comment to refresh it in other reader’s minds. It’s the first story of this type I’d ever attempted to write and I’m pleased with the way it came out, especially with my rewrite. The story that follows “Date with Myself” is titled “The Thirteenth Floor”. In it Bette lets her inner weird and we discover her inner motivations and the pain that led, in part, to her life changing decision to sleep with Candace.

      Date With Myself is full of Tina’s ghosts and erotic moments.
