A Day in the Life of Bette and Tina : April 5
Tina’s Journal.
Allow me this moment to tell you about the woman I love. She makes me laugh when it counts. She consoles me when I needed warmth. She sees me like a mirror, my flaws, my imperfections, she sees it all. She stands by me like my shadow, witnessing every emotion that’s running through my mind. I love her because she’s soft, soft enough to make me melt into her arms. I love her because she’s tough, tough enough for me to find her arrogance sexy. I love her.
Today was special. Bette surprised me with a candlelight dinner on our favorite spot at the beach. She had everything set up. The cloth that spreads out to seat two grown adults perfectly, and a basket filled with all my favorite snacks. She knows I love my snacks. Then, she pulled out her acoustic guitar and starts singing her favorite song…. I’ll Be. I couldn’t help but chuckled, because it’s the only song she knows how to play. I still loved it.
We talked. We shared our thoughts. She’s always eager to find out how my day was like, and who I talked to. Some people might confuse that as controlling, but that’s not the case. She’s more interested in whether or not I was enjoying my day, because Bette has it in her mind that if I’m not happy with my day, she’ll do anything to try and turn it around like the other day.
A few days back, I phoned Bette and told her how exhausted I was, and that I wasn’t happy with work, or the direction that the company wants to go with. That day I didn’t leave work until quarter past midnight. I walked in to see her sleeping on the sofa. I saw on the table, dinner she had made. If you don’t know Bette, let me tell you, she doesn’t like to cook. Bette doesn’t do spatulas. So, I couldn’t help myself but leaped in her arms, and kiss her with a passion. My heart melts every time she says, "Hey baby, welcome home."
Our dinner on the beach was interrupted by the rain. Hee. She hates the rain. I love the rain. She didn’t think about anything, but grabbed my hand and the basket. Though, I didn’t budge. She looked at me suspiciously. I smiled at her, and pulled her back down into me. What comes after that is up to your imagination, all I have to say is the rain didn’t bother her, at all.
So, here we are, back home. She’s in the shower cleaning off the sand. I wanted to join her, but she didn’t think that was a good idea. "Phbbbt," I thought and asked her why. "Because I REALLY do want to get rid of these sand, but when I’m ready, I’ll call for you, " she replied with a wink, and runs off. Hee. She’s so cute. Well, I have to go, now. I think I hear her calling for me. Until next time….
xoxo,
Tina

I love this concept. What a unique way of telling your story….through a diary entry. I can’t wait to see where you take this. Please post soon.
This a very interesting way to portray their relationship. Will we also get to read Bette’s journal? Great job, I hope you continue.
What a loving and sweet scene to picture in my head before heading out on a gray and rainy winter day! It’s going to rain again tomorrow, can you post again? :)
