Bette hesitated; she lived with a deep sense of guilt when it came to Tina. It was a place she did not visit often.

“Would you really be ok with that T?” Bette watched her carefully.
There was a flicker of surprise at Bette’s use of the nickname she used to call her. Tina sensed Bette was really asking her something more but she was not sure what it was. She was clear that she would enjoy sharing the birth experience with Bette from the other side even though she was giving birth to another woman’s child. Oh… she paused. That was why Bette was studying her so closely. She smiled ruefully before answering again.
“I’m really ok with it. I can’t remember a time where you were in a position to have to take my orders so this is an opportunity I wouldn’t want to miss.”
Bette frowned briefly. Orders, what orders did Tina think she would be giving?
“Push, breathe, count…” Tina went on clearly relishing the idea.
“Hey wait a minute.” Alice interrupted suddenly seeing an opportunity to have the unflappable indomitable Porter under her command. “Since you are taking the lead Tina, I would love to be your second and understudy.”
“I think that maybe we all should participate in the classes.” Shane perked up suddenly seeing the situation in a new light.
“No” Tina squashed the pile on. “You all had you chance, I was just the one smart enough to see the opportunity. So is it settled Bette?”
“Uh, yeah…” Bette continued to frown realizing that not only had she given up control of her body with the decision to bear a child she would be giving up other controls that she hadn’t imagined. Tina would know that of course.
Shane, Kit and Alice were aware of a sudden shift between the two former lovers. There was a sense that they had just become a team again. They exchanged glances confirming their awareness of what they were witnessing and the answering looks told them all that they were all seeing the same thing. Bette and Tina were too lost in their own thoughts to notice the exchange between the three.

I love this story, Kelika. The pacing of your narrative and the rebuilding of the relationship between Bette and Tina seem very believable and right. I particularly loved the way Angelica refused to leave Bette’s side during her darkest hour. That was a nice touch. Thank you so much.
Glad I made u smile…my all my fav writers are out this wet cold afternoon in NZ…I kinda like the pace u r going at but i guess it’s up to u sometimes they need to be longer or shorter…whatever…u r the best to judge becuz only u know where u r taking this…I like the wise Tina and the new relationship they r forging…wish I had more $ than god!!!! Lmao…Thanks this was great.
That was really well done. I had a hard time with the first part of this story (subject matter, not writing the writing is great) as Bette had moved on from Tina…but you just fixed all of that with this lovely chapter. Thank you for posting. I vote for longer chapters, even if not as often. Anticipation only kills us a little….but wasn’t there another story????PPS
Long posts, short posts…doesn’t really matter because even your shortest posts are so beautifully written and so full of emotion that the reader easily gets lost in your words. I’ll take whatever posts I can get!!

The last thing they need is another Mark, or worse, so it’s a good thing Shane and Jenny won’t be in charge of the interviewing process. I love Tina as the story’s voice of reason; it’s a role that suits her well. I prefer longer post, but either is fine.
Great chapter! I prefer shorter chapters if you can post a couple times a week, but do whatever is comfortable for you.
I was just smiling thinking this story was taking a lighter turn. Then Kit had to open her big mouth. I could have strangled her. K, you are doing a great job with this story. Put a mussle on Kit and let T&B get ready for the birthing process.

This is sad due to the loss of Rosanna, but life isn’t always peaches and cream. Love how Tina still has the power over Bette, and that they both know it. I’m also enjoying the way your bringing them closer together, before they know what hit them I’m sure our tibette hearts will be satisfied. Gotta love the group noticing things that probably the other two are not.
Great story. I like longer chapters but how often would you post? If there would be infrequent postings then I like shorter chapters but more frequent postings. Quite the predicament!!
Hi K, Great to see that the team of Bette and Tina has been re-instated and now Tina gets more of a say. Bette was shocked at this turn up of the books but inwardly relieved that someone who knows her inner most thoughts and fears was around to keep her focussed and safe. LOve the reaction from the rest of the gang. Then an stupid argument between Bette and Kit, again needs Tina’s balance to get them to work though. Amazing and enticing. Many thanks for this awesome adventure. Your Loyal Fan. PS – Yes, am holding out for a BnT reunion.
