A Forever Kind of Love- Chapter 4
6:45, Bette moved from the couch went into the kitchen where the wine was sitting on the counter, poured a glass for herself and made her way out to the backyard patio to sit in one of the lounge chairs by the pool. As she was sitting there she thought back to day they had returned home after their commitment ceremony and reception she still in her Stella McCartney suit and Tina in her gorgeous A-line Vera Wang gown. They had come in through the back gate not wanting to have to wade through the living room where their friends had dropped off all the presents earlier. As they had come to the door Bette remembered saying “Wait” and Tina turning around looking confused.
“Bette?”
Then Bette remembered how she had walked up to Tina kissed her lightly on the lips and picked her up so to carry her over the threshold.
Once indoors Bette lovingly placed Tina down in their kitchen, Tina looked at Bette and gentle laughed.
“What’s so funny T?”
“You, I never thought that you would be so gallant, so traditional.”
“Well, you my dear deserve nothing better than the best and you deserve to be treated like a lady and ladies after their wedding day get carried over the threshold into their home.”
“Oh Bette”
So as she sat there looking at the slight breeze blowing gentle ripples on the surface of the pool she thought of just a few weeks ago when they had come back to the house after an interview at one of the preschools they were looking into for Angie. Tina and Angie had swum in the pool for a while before it was time for Angie to get out. Bette had just brought Angie in to the house to go potty, change Angie into her clothes and put her down for her nap. She had returned back out to the patio through her bedroom and saw Tina lying there in the pool in the floating raft with her bikini top undone. Bette remembered doing a double take and smiled slightly thinking of just how beautiful her ex-wife really was. Unfortunately she also remembered the conversation that had ensued and the discussion of whether Tina was getting laid and Tina’s wonderful statement of “Well, it’s not like I didn’t go for months at a time without sex when we were together.” Ooh that hurt.

Let’s hope it’s Tina at the door and not Jodie! Great story so far. PPS.
Oh please may that be Tina! PPS
Hopefully, that is Tina at the door. For both Bette and Tina’s sake, I hope that the talk will go well for them.
It better be Tina and not someone coming to tell Bette that something has happened.
For me when I really search myself it doesn’t feel like an affair, for me it feels like I am coming home ….is my favorite too
Looks as though everyone wants the same thing, for that knocking to be Tina and not Jodi and I would add one more, that it is not the police saying Tina has been in an accident, since she was on teh freeway where there had already been an accident. With Bette going over all the things they have been through gives more strength to their talk when Tina gets there. There were bad times but more good ones. Great chapter. PPS
Bette is a lady too,not a man, and deserves to be treated like a lady just as much.
hopefully thats Tina emerging at Bette’s house. loved the update…yeah was a little confused with the name but i think it still suits…a forever kind of love in any language is still romantic lol
You are getting good at these cliffhangers….I am enjoying this story and hope you post very soon
“But there was nothing that she could do; a dead battery was a dead battery.” – hopefully Tina finally decided to borrow a neighboring drivers phone!…
