Chapter 3

The Planet

Alice and Dana were sitting at the Planet and discussing the events of the night before. Dana could not believe that the Bette Porter she knew could be so vulnerable. To the world, Bette was the epitome of confidence and arrogance. Bette was type of woman that when she walked into a room, everyone paid attention. When they went to a bar, it was uncommon for her to go home alone. Now to hear to that someone had brought Bette to her knees was astounding.

Alice: and it was like nothing I had ever seen. It was like watching chemistry in motion. ***** as *****, might I add. And they were just sough I dont know, like, drawn together. I just could not believe it. And then me, being the good friend that I am, shove Mac away to go drink, and ply him for information about her. Definitely an interesting night. Finished Alice with a sigh.

Dana: Wow. Justwow. Said a blown away Dana as she took a sip from her iced latte.

Alice: Oh, wait!!! Thats not even the best part. Exclaimed Alice as she leaned back in her chair to prolong the moment.

Dana: What? Tell me.

Alice: Well after Tina left, I was in the office with Bette and asking her when she was going to see her again. Or maybe it was how she would get in contact with her. Yeah, thats it, how would she get in contact with her. Anyways, shes being all cryptic, saying that she wouldnt need to. Which, mind you is bugging the ***** out of me, and finally she pulls an earring out of her pocket and tells me that Tina would be coming to her. She had stolen Tinas earrings so that she would have to come back. Said Alice with a very Cheshire grin on her face.

Dana: Wow. Said Dana unable to get past one syllable.

 Are you done spreading everyones gossip yet or should I just wait another five minutes?

Alice and Dana turned to see Shane leaning up against the wall.

Alice: I was, before you came along. Did you know that last night Bette?  I already know. I talked to Bette this morning. Said Shane, cutting off Alice.
