The Peugeot is driving through the scenic landscape of the Cote d’Azur, the roof is down and inside are sitting two beautiful women and a little dark tanned curled girl. The women are dressed in a sunny look as the air is still warm in this late afternoon. They don’t talk, they look straight ahead but not noticing anything of the beautiful landscape around them. It has been like this since their visit to the airport.
Tina had stopped to push Bette to talk about what she wanted for them, how and where she saw them living together. But it resulted in a stubborn silence of her part and a weak attempt of Bette’s part to keep the peace. Only weak as she realized that she was acting like a hypocrite because she kept the news behind. So she chose to leave it like this for now, she decided to try to talk to Tina when they were home, not here on the airport or in the car.
But as soon as they got home, Tina went to take a shower not in the en-suite one of Bette’s bedroom but the guest’s one. Bette let her, she stayed with Angelica to change her and to play a bit. She thought she could speak to her after her shower, but Tina didn’t want to. “You know what Bette, I will respect your wish to wait till we meet again in LA. So just let it rest and enjoy our last night, okay? The last thing I want to say about it, is that somehow I have the feeling that you can’t make up your mind yet. So I will give you the coming week to figure it out. But I want you to promise me that we will talk and decide as soon as you are in LA.” Bette promised that and that was the last word they said about it. But this didn’t make Bette’s guilt go away, the turmoil was still inside of her. And so they drove to Monique, each in their own thoughts.
They arrive at Monique’s place right on time, the sun is still warm so Monique’s husband is with the kids in the pool to cool off. They look at the fence and he greets them cheerfully while the kids are clung around his neck. “ Well look at that boys, three gorgeous women are walking along the poolside, you think they will stay dry?” he says to the boys in Dutch so Bette and Tina have no idea what he is saying. But before they can ask, the boys are splashing water at them and laugh out loud. The girls run to the veranda to try to stay dry, but laugh too about the whole situation.Ben gets out of the water to greet them, then he picks up Angelica. “Is it okay if I take her in the water? I am sure she will like it, it isn’t cold but nice refreshing. We, the men, will look after your Angel, we promise.” Bette and Tina give their permission and undress the girl before they hand her over to Ben. As Ben is making the girl get used to the water, Monique walks on the veranda.

HOLLY SMOKES BATMAN NOT AGAIN.TIBETTE NEEDS TO TALK THIS OUT AND SEE IF THEY CAN COMPRISE OR NOT?MAYBE TINA SHOULD GO BACK TO LA AND GET THINGS SETTLE AND MAYBE TRY TO SEE IF BETTE TAKES THIS NEW JOB IS REALLY GOING TO BE THAT BAD AND GIVE IT A TIMETABLE LIKE 3MTHS AND IF IT IS THEN THEY MOVED BACK TO LA TOGETHER AS A FAMILY.BUT THEY DO NEED TO TALK ABOUT IT HONESTLY.OPENLY TOGETHER!
LOL…isn’t this the same Tina who packed a bag in LA hoping Bette would ask her to come to France with her? The problem is Tina can’t talk to Bette unless provoked…Bette’s tirade that lead back into each others arms, Monique sitting with them to discuss Henry, this blow up. Tina still has major communication issues. She is not ready to have this discussion with Bette, its actually an ultimatum, not a good way to start a new chapter. Funny how quickly Tina went from begging to demanding. All Tina sees is France being so bad for her, it could be great for Angelica as ultimately they would likely get back to the US. Besides, if Tina hadn’t been so spiteful Bette would have probably never left LA. So Tina is lying in the bed she made, deal with it. This sounds like a discussion for alpha Bette, kind of like when she found Tina sitting in the bedroom waiting for Bette and Angelica to leave.
let the shit hit the fan, but let it hit with some real hott angry sex…..then after let them talk and have some slow tender lovin. Ruff and sex….yeah that is hott.
I think Tina was so wrong. That was a conversation for her and Bette alone. “Let’s discuss this when you get to LA Bette” yeah right she didn’t have to call Bette out like that…Tina can be very manipulating trying to big boy Bette into making a decision in front of her friends. The answer is not so cut and dry she needs to realize that. Bring on the drama…lol

Tina can be so passive aggressive. Act like the victim and then manipulate. But Bette is putty in Tina’s hands. Tina is kryptonite to Bette.
I know that this is very hard for Bette to make this decision. Both her and Tina have got to come to some understanding to where they are going to live. Whether it is in LA, France or where ever they need to work this out. Both of them want and need to be with each other. Hopefully it work out for both of their sakes.
for a moment i think they will talk in LA but Ben give them some push and they must have to talk sooner! for one side Tina is so right to feel that Bette is putting the art and the galery before her and the baby but she need to be a little understandig with Bette cause she had been working so hard for this galery, is a difficult situation for them and for you that has to fix this! i hope your laptop get better! take care
At this point, I don’t know quite what to think. Maybe they should talk about the job offer and let Bette explain to her what it all means regarding the career, etc. Tina wanted to live wherever Bette lives. Now is her chance to get her wish. Whatever happens let them do it together w/Angelica.
Glad someone was there to tell Bette to get up and go after Tina … Bette needs to talk to Tina and explain what’s up with her work. And what’s up with Tina? She can’t learn to speak french? Tina’s just afraid that Bette has her priorities twisted and is using work as an excuse again! Great post BG!

Tina should have just enjoyed the BBQ and waited until after they had an all-night sex-a-thon to talk to Bette about her fears. You don’t air your laundry in public, in front of Bette’s friends for sympathy. She is scared and should own it and not manipulate the situation for her own good.

Now after Mo’s encouragement Bette needs to be honest with Tina and tell her about the careere opportunity she has right now. These gals require to be open and trust each other. Wow somehow I missed this chapter over the weekend. I know Tina’s upset, but DAMN! That was harsh. She could’ve come up with a bullshit answer that would’ve worked better than that outburst.
