    Chapter 23

     

    Bette watched Tina for a moment. She was taking it all in. "Did she really just ask her to move in with her?" She thought. Minutes of silence past. Tina heart began to race again. Bette didn’t move not an inch. She could hardly breath.

    Tina sat up.

    "Shit. You don’t want to do?" Tina asked getting out of the bed. Bette didn’t know exactly how to respond. She did want to move in with Tina. She did. She just couldn’t force herself to say anything. She watched Tina move about the room gathering her clothes. "I’m going to go." Tina said mainly to herself.

    Before Bette knew she was alone. She heard the front door shut. She came to her senses. She jumped out the bed and with a sheet wrapped around her she ran to the front door.

    "Oh God please let the elevator be slow for once." She said as she ran. She flung open the front door. The hallway was empty. Fear, Dread, and Anxiety grew in her heart.

    "No! No! No!" She thought. She ran to the window only to see Tina get into a taxi and pull off. "Fuck. Fuck. I have to find her." She thought.

    Tears streamed down Tina’s face. "How could I have been so stupid to think that she…" Tina thought. Her body went numb except for the searing pain coming from her heart. It was broken.

    The taxi pulled up outside of the Peabody Brownstone. Tina paid the driver and the taxi pulled away. She looked up at the four story dark brown brick building.

    "How can I face her? How can I tell her that I brought someone into our lives that I shouldn’t have? How do I tell my little girl that my heart is broken?" Tina thought to herself.

    Rock music erupted from the bar a block away.

    "I need a drink, a strong one." She said to herself and headed down to the bar.

    Tina walked into the building and up to the bar. Their was a band playing and the crowd had surrounded the stage. The smell of alcohol bombarded Tina’s senses. She looked at her watch.

    1. Charmed what a great chappy. Tina was a little quick to leave and Bette was slow to react.I can’t wait to see how it all plays out. The story was ready for a little drama. Great job!Can’t wait for tonight!

    3. That sort of reminds me of a commercial I saw where a couple was at dinner and the woman said, “I love you” and waited for the guy to answer. He just sat there smiling. She got up and left and he said, “I love you, too.” I don’t remember what the commercial was for though. Anyway, Bette WTF! And here I thought we’d see her running around in public wrapped in a sheet. lol

    4. why do tibette jump to conclusions and not communacte? true it was time for a little drama yes.i cant wait till the next day and see how tina feeling and gill.gets a whole of bette you better watch out shes a handfull more then mom if possible…cant wait for tonite for the next update…bring it on charmed!!!!!!!

    5. Ok, I had a visual for a few minutes of Bette wrapped in nothing but a sheet, running after the taxi!! That would have been hilarious. I think Tina was too quick in her reaction and Bette was too slow!!! Can’t wait for the next post, charmed!

    7. I agree with everyone that Tina over reacted and ran, as well as Bette is a little dense and slow. What surprised me is that Bette was not waiting on the door steps when they got back from the bar. Now is the time for communication and for Bette to gravel LOL.

    10. Wow…what a chapter. Tina should have waited a little while Bette could have been getting her thoughts together. And even if Bette didn’t want to move in right away dosen’t mean that she dosen’t love Tina. Tina CLEARLY overreacted. I hope she gives Bette a chance to talk to her. She is gonna have a terrible hangover tomorrow. Please post soon.
