Previously
Tina purposefully strode into my living room, making a bee-line for my wall-sized sexual liaison Chart. She stood staring at it. Immediately, I knew what she was looking for. And she quickly found it. I stood holding Angelica and braced myself. Some kind of big doo-doo wad was about to hit the fan.
“Fuck!” Tina cried out in a hushed tone, so as, I suspect, not to startle Angelica. “Bette and Helena are fucking,” she said quietly and turned to me. Tears welled in her eyes. “How long have you known, Alice? When did it start?”
I’d tried to shield Angelica’s ears from the F-words. Slowly, I made my way down the hallway and into the living room. Sitting on the sofa, I sighed. This was going to be neither fun, nor pleasant.
Chapter 17
I sat quietly holding Angelica, unsure of how to respond to Tina’s turmoil.
“What’s the matter, Alice? Cat finally got your tongue?” Tina asked sarcastically.
“Look, Tina, just because you’re freaked out, don’t start with me about my loose lips,” I said. “I love you. I love Bette. I love Helena. I don’t want to be caught in the middle of all this.”
“All this what, Alice? That’s what I want to know. What’s going on with Bette and Helena,” Tina replied.
“Why do you care, Tina?” I asked. “Isn’t Henry-Ho enough for you?”
Angelica started to fuss.
“Here, let me have her. She’s a little cranky. The shots, you know? Plus, it’s her naptime,” Tina said, taking her from my arms. “I need to feed her. Can you grab a bottle from my bag.”
I got up and took the diaper bag from Tina’s shoulder. Finding a bottle, I handed it to her and Tina sat down to feed Angelica.
“She’ll be asleep in like ten minutes,” Tina predicted. “Then we can talk.”
“Yeah, I’m with Shane. I don’t think she needs to be hearing four-letter words and stuff. And I think that’s gonna happen. I’ll place some pillows around the edges of my bed, and you can lay her there when she falls asleep.

After we made love, I lay back against the pillows and held Bette in my arms. Her head rested against my chest.

Zheese, this was good. Even though I am a Tibette fan.. but Bette deserved to be happy and moved on. What’s wrong with Tina, she’s acting like a confused teenager. It’s been long enough, make up your mind before doing anything stupid, woman. Great chapter, more please.
Hey, great! The server is back to it’s old trick of eating my comments. If Bette keeps calling Helena “sweetheart” she’s going to start sounding like an old Humphrey Bogart movie. Shit, there’s worse things. I’m sure Helena won’t mind. And yes, Tina, the world will drop what it’s doing to attend to your whim just as soon as you figure out what it is.
So Alice has the best line of this story:”Love her? Who? Bette or Helena?Way to go Alice. And what’s up w/ Tina’s flip flopping over Bette and Henry??? I agree w/ Alice that Tina needs to let Bette and Helena be b/c obvioulsy she is confused about what she really wants. I’m glad that Tina finally admitted that she only hooked up w/ Helena to get back at Bette and that she brings up Candace to make Bette feel bad. Please post soon (C/O a loyal reader)
Zheese, great update and you’re doing great just writing for yourself. I’m glad to see Bette happy after being punished by Tina for so long. Tina has got to stop and let Bette move on even though she herself continues to be confused… Thanks for the update.

I’m kinda with some of the others. Sort of feel bad for Tina. I know she brought it on herself, but still. But you just have to admit that Bette and Helena together is hot. By the way, most of us are still here, so keep posting.

I am a huge TiBette fan but this story is so well written that I can accept HeleBette.
Well, I sure like what you’re writing and I’m happy to see that Alice was able to remain diplomatic during the probe. Tina is, well, still being true to her S3 self by not knowing what she wants. I almost, ALMOST, felt some pity for her.
Tina deserves to be confused. Bette may have cheated first, but Tina has cheated more. I would love to see Bette happy for a change ( even though she and Tina are meant for each other & belong together) I hope you will post again soon.
great post, and story….I’m finding that although I like the Helbet coupling it’s hard to read the stories that have tina unsure, mixed up etc. Yes it adds more dimension, but as a reader her being so unsettled while bette is fifnally moving on is hard to read…just a thought
Sweetheart… what a nice present for Helena on the first day of summer. As I’m writing this, Madonna sings, “for you and noone else”, this woman rocks, just like Bette and Helena do.

Now THIS is what I’m talkin’ ’bout!! You have just added a smile to my morning. THIS is the #1 reason I have NO love for Tina. Funny how Tina wasn’t so indecisive when she was fucking Henry in the SAME bedroom / bed she shared with her partner of 8 / 9 years; now all of a sudden, she’s been spending time thinking about Bette? There hasn’t been an action of hers yet that wasn’t meant to inflict more pain on Bette. I don’t think Bette’s cheating deserved this kind of ongoing torture. Would she have been thinking about Bette if her newfound hetero family was all peachy? I’m surprised Alice didn’t run home and throw Henry’s name on the chart; linking him to Tina. Does he not count because he is male? Tina’s name is already on the chart and she is fucking him?!? – Long live Belena………fuck u Tina – zheese, you may have lost a few, but you can always count on us die-harders to be right here! – Long live Belena

God, they are soooo hot together. Your really do write the best scenes. I hope Tina isn’t jealous only cause Bettes moved on and doesn’t try to interfer.

With the show itself, I kept holding out for B&T to fall in love all over again. However IC and Co. pushed the storyline of punishing Bette too far. I am beyond the point of ever wanting to see B&T together again. I guess the final straw was when Tina fucked Henry. I am so ready to see Bette move on and finding happiness. Helena seems like the perfect choice…beautiful, smart, confident, educated in the arts. We have gone through 2 seasons of misery but, your story brings joy from disappointment. If I were forced to choose between watching the show or reading your story, you would win, hands down. Please post again soon.

I like all these characters – insecure, but truly infatuated Helena, jealous, irritated, “how could you ever want anyone but me?” Tina, and feeling her way along Bette. Alice is doing a good job too! Thanks for writing!

Hiya Zheese, Given the brilliance of this story I say go with the flow. Your best narration always comes from being honest and from the heart. This is your right as an author to take whatever journey you wish. There will be those who follow it religious, those who dip in and out and finally those who will fall by the wayside. I am definitely in the first camp and can’t wait to see where this road leads to next. Tina’s jealous was refreshing and a total case of ‘I want what I haven’t got then when I get it, I don’t want it’. The idea of Alice being the soul of good snse and reason was a blast. Amazing to see into Bette and Helena’s souls as they each wrestle with the depth of their emotions and realization of their blossoming relationship. I do hope that Tina follows Alice’s advice and stays the hell out. Thank you so much for these delightful and delicious distractions. Your Loyal Fan.
