Alex in homeroom Ch.4
Alex just stands in the doorway. She is completely taken aback by this girls beauty. She knows that she has been looking to long but can’t help herself. Alex is snapped out of her trance by someone telling her to move. She enters the room and walks up to the teacher.
“This is my first day here and I wanted to know where you want me to sit.” Alex states.
“What is your name?”
“Alexis Harding.”
“You can take the third seat in the second row next to Christina Taylor.” the teacher says as he points to the specified seat.
Alex turns to walk to her seat. She tries not to stare at Chris as she sits down. Her insides feel like they are turning to jello. She knows that she has never felt anything like this before.
‘What’s the matter with me? Have I lost my mind? Take a look at this girl. I bet she is straight and has some jock boyfriend that she hangs off of. You might as well put her out of your mind. She is out of your league. I don’t want to make a mess of my life again.’ Alex is so lost in her thoughts that she doesn’t notice Christina turn and smile at her. ‘Maybe we could be friends? In what life time. She finds out that I am ***** and she is going to run for the hills. I need to get over this.’
Alex turns her head and glances at Chirs one last time. She only meant to look for a second but her feelings wouldn’t let her eyes turn away. Then she notices Chris blushing face is smiling at her.
‘Great. I would get caught looking at her. She is blushing. I’m making her uncomfortable. Play it cool. She doesn’t know you.’
Alex decieds to just nod at Chris. She figures it is a safe move. No harm in nodding. Alex sinks down in her chair. She knows she can’t deny the feelings that she has for this girl. But what is she supposed to do about them. Should she take the risk. Put herself on the line for a girl that she doesn’t even know and is more than likely straight. Alex closes her eyes. Her thoughts move back to Rachel and she knows what she must do. Completely forget about Chris. She can’t take being burned again. Alex just wishes that this day would be over with.
‘I need to get away from this girl before I make a fool of…….’ Alex’s thought was interupped by the sound of the bell.

This is good and like it, please keep coming. Thank you!
Short, but good. I remember the incredible pain from having feelings for a friend in high school…of knowing I couldn’t tell anyone, especially her! Thanks!
