Tina had gone into the house to get some more cartons of fruit juice out of the fridge. She
had been on her feet most of the day and had nothing to eat despite all her cooking for the party. All she consumed was a couple of beers and some wine – she seriously craved a brandy. Seeing Ollie was bringing back some bad memories for her -memories that reminded her of how lonely she had been through the last year of their marriage. She placed the cartons on the table and crossed into the living room to pour a brandy -just to take away some of the pain
“Does she know ?” a voice made her jump
Ollie was standing in the doorway
“Fuck Ollie – do you have to creep around like that ?”
“Sorry – I did a course in creeping around “
“Yeah I remember – did your detective training make it easier to cheat on me ?”
“That was uncalled for “
“I don’t think so – you got off lightly “
“I would hardly say that “
“I would “
“So – does Bette know exactly what you are like ?”
“Bette loves me for everything that I am “
“EVERYTHING ?” he said
Tina flushed and slammed the glass down
“You really would love to destroy Bette and me wouldn’t you ?”
“She’s the most arrogant woman I have ever met “
“She isn’t arrogant – she is accomplished “
“So does she know ?”
“Do I know what ?” Bette strolled in carrying a glass of wine.
“I was just asking if you knew everything about Tina “
Bette frowned – he really couldn’t keep his big mouth shut could he ?
“Shut up Ollie “ Tina suddenly felt afraid – he did have the power to harm her.
“I know everything I need to know about Tina – like how loving she is and how happy she makes me “ Bette couldn’t resist a dig between the shoulder blades “and I know that I satisfy her in bed “
“You think that sex is everything ? “
“You don’t think its important ? “Bette smiled
“Its not everything no “
“I agree its about friendship and affection and being there for the other person “
“Do you think its about feeling safe with your lover ?” he asked slowly reeling her in
“Ollie – shut up “ Tina could feel her fear rising in her throat
“Of course it is “ Bette replied
“You would never hurt Tina ?”
Bette went red “I resent the accusation – I would never harm a single hair on her head “
“What about the other way round ?”
“What ?”
“I am sure you have been told what a bastard I am -how I left Tina when she was suffering from post-natal depression “
“Pretty much “
Ollie pulled his shirt out of his trousers
“Ollie “ Tina almost begged “Don’t “
Bette was lost – what the hell was going on ?
Ollie pulled his shirt open and Bette saw a knife scar just below his right nipple
“Ask me who gave me that ?” he challenged
“You’re a cop “
“No – closer to home – just don’t annoy Tina when she is drunk and has a knife in her hand “

Too bad she didn’t stick it up his ass. And the snide bastard can’t be that concerned (neither was the court that granted their divorce) or he would be fighting for custody. Here’s hoping Paul knocks some sense into him or leaves his sorry ass to suffer in solitude.
FFS, Ollie is *such* a prat. Completely loathsome. Really, just *what* is his malfunction? He’s got his cake, can’t he just eat the bloody thing, and let Tina be? And yeah, I agree with funnyone, if it was such a big problem, the courts would’ve taken the kids and granted that jumped-up little fart custody of the girls. My gosh I have missed this story. Glad to hear you had a good time though.. Ollie probably deserved the knife wound, but feels great in keeping Tina guilty about it. Power to Bette and Tina.

Are we going to get alcoholic Tina? Dealing with the pain by pouring herself some brandy on an empty stomach. Weilding a knife drunk. Sounds like a bad custodial environment for the kids. So I hope there is some other explanation. I hate Ollie.. but still.

Great update! Can’t understand why Ollie holds so much animosity towards Tina and her newfound relationship with Bette.
Ollie is a bastard personified. He should not have done that to Tina, and maybe she should have slipped the knife a bit lower and she could have made him sing soprano for the rest of his life. The asshole.
Does Ollie really think that Bette would believe for even half a second, that Tina (even with a knife) is any kind of threat against Ollie, a 6ft cop – with a GUN? I’m sure it was either an accident or Ollie totally deserved it. Tina was probably defending herself. Try as he might he’s not going to come between them. BIG question here Ally…WHY? Why is he so determined to cause problems? Why doesn’t he like Bette? Why doesn’t he want Tina to be happy??? I just don’t get it. He went about leaving Tina the wrong way (he should have left Tina before he started seeing Paul) and now he’s going about “letting Tina live her own life now” in the most completely absurd manner. He’s very sinister…sneaking around the house…I wouldn’t take my eye’s off of him for a second if I were Bette. It’s almost like he has some sort of vendetta against Tina and of her finding any kind of peace and/or happiness. Why is he lurking around the house instead of outside enjoying Hannah’s birthday? It’s like, he knows he’s the bad guy here; and so does everyone else…including his children…poor little Becky, pleading with Bette to not let Ollie mess up Hannah’s day…like Ollie has caused problems before at previous family gatherings. I really think that Bette will have Tina’s back 100% here. If I were Tina, I would arrange the children exchanges through Shane or someone so I wouldn’t have to have any contact at all with Ollie…something is not right with him…I have to wonder if he would cause harm to one of the children, he is so malignant. Its not going to let Bette feel any less for Tina, though she may have some questions. I’m still having a hard time trying to figure out where all of Ollie’s anamosity came from. He’s got his life and his boyfriend, why is he so determind to destroy Tina’s happiness.
I´m sure Bette would want to hear that story, but I don´t believe it´ll harm their relationship . . however a little harm to Ollie wouldn´t be too much to ask . . would it. I mean you don´t have to actually kill him, but that bouncing castle has got to be good for something.
He is such a dick! Tina was depressed at the time, but she needs to have a serious sit down with Bette and tell her everything. I hope she got therapy after that incident. What am I saying of course she did because dickhead would have probably tried to sue for custody if she hadden’t.
