All you need is love – Chapter 36

ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE Chapter 36

Bette opened the door to greet Jodie and Helena who had picked up the message about Madison’s accident when they had been returning from the exclusive hotel where they had been spending the weekend. She walked down the path to greet them both with hugs

“How is my precious? “ Jodie asked signing at Bette

Bette held her thumbs up “Fine “she nodded

    “What the hell happened?”

Bette spoke slowly and clearly so Jodie could read her lips

“She was with her dad and the others at an activities place – she tried to climb the same thing that Rebecca was and fell. She’s got a single break to her arm and a more complicated fracture of her wrist. She’s a bit down today but we are keeping her amused.”

“Why are you wearing a white coat Porter? “ Helena asked

Bette grinned “We are playing the 21st century version of Doctors and Nurses which is ER now. Paul brought these round and some plastic toys and his stethoscope. They are having a hoot in there. Just wanted to warn you both that you will probably have to endure having some part of your body bandaged or operated on… I think Josh has found his calling in life – you never saw a boy have as much fun as he is having. “

“So the gay boys are here? “ Helena knew the problems that Bette and Tina had been having with Tina’s ex.” That’s going to be fun – come on Jodes “

Bette reached out her hand to indict that Helena should hang back. They waited until Jodie was almost in the house even they both it wasn’t necessary.

    “What’s up? “

“I need to talk to you later – just you in private “

Helena’s eyebrows shot up “Sounds interesting “

    “I – well I have a dilemma and I need some advice “

    “What about asking Tina?”

    “It’s about Tina “

“Is everything okay between the two of you? “”

“We are fine – she’s great and we are just very happy together “

Helena smiled – it was good to see her friend looking so content in a relationship. When Helena entered the house with Bette she laughed at the scene in front of her.

    1. Bette seems to have reached her limit with Tina’s problems – hope Tina figures it out and Oily doesn’t get a toe hold with the folks. Glad you have the time to churn out the chapters – your writing is always always always fun.

    2. Don’t T’s parents know that the “wonderful ex husband” is gay? I say let Becky relay the story to the parents – I’m sure she will have a few choice things to tell her grandparents. And I really do think that if I were Tina and I had just been told that my ex-husband carried drugs into my house, I would immediately have feared for my children’s lives (especially the one that is currently out with daddy dearest) and definitely would have called the police. Tina doesn’t need him or his money, and the children would obviously be better off without someone that brings drugs around them. Cops don’t “hold” drugs for each other – at least the good ones don’t. And if Tina were smart, she would put the liquor down, call her parents back, tell them the truth, and then tell them to mind their own business if they didn’t like it; or go to Bette and tell her that she is going to tell her parents as soon as they arrive…and if they have any intelligence whatsoever, they will see the love that Tina, Bette, and all six children have for each other. It shouldn’t take long for them to understand what kind of game Ollie is playing and then Ollie’s plan will backfire in his face! Ally I am just thankful for whatever you choose to give…I’m not picky!

    3. T needs to get some lead in her pencil; tell the parents about Oilie!!!!! and Paul; tell Paul about his ma’s declaration of the previous night about wanting her back and inform his superior about his drugs which if he doesn’t take them then he probably did mean to drop them at bette’s house…deal to the lowlife….don’t protect him for the kids sake, that’s b/s…men like that never change, once a cheat and a liar always etcetc Paul sounds like a decent guy, he deserves better…probably Ollie always cheated on Tina tru’out their marriage, they hardly had sex, 3 times was it???? Deal to the scumbag, I would b4 someone shoots him like Bette’s best friend cuz as Bette’s best friend I’d be so tempted especially if he turned up late, drunk wandering around the house…he’s a miserable bastard someone put him out of his misery I say!!!!! Man, u got me worked up with this one. Lmao at me.

    4. This story is at a critical point so I vote to continue w/this one. Bette needs to calmly explain to Tina that Ollie telling T’s ‘rents that her lesbian relationship is healthy and sound and loving. ANd that Ollie is in a homosexual relationship that he initiated before they were divorced. Her parents upon hearing that will probably head for the hills.PPS.

    5. I am hoping dickweed made the call before this drug thing or Bette is going to have to take the gloves off. I understand Bette getting upset with Tina after all they have been through and what has been implied about her life with her wife, but she needs to give Tina a little time to wrap her head around the fact that her parents are springing this on her without much warning. Sometimes things happen too fast for you to get a handle on them right away. PPS

    6. Woah. I really hope Tina grows from this.. same old cycle it seems. She gets upset, starts drinking, and kind of acts like an ass. If she just told her rents up front things would be better.. even if they don’t like it its better to be honest then to spring it on them when they show up. Plus, I can’t see why they would want her to get back with Ollie. He cheated on her. Treats her like crap. Might be on drugs. And likes guys. Yeah, doesn’t sound like that would make for a happy family life. I hope Tina apologizes to Bette.

    7. maybe you could do an extra two chaps, so we get six? rofl, two of each? I dont know’, see this is hard, on one I wanna kno wha happens, here,b ut then there is wing, and the other, Aye Aye’, i dont kno, but my vote is two of each stories ehehe

    8. Tina is acting like an idiot and apologize to Bette for her behavior. I think explaining her fears to Bette would help than acting like a jack ass! And kill off that Ollie jack off please! PPS

    9. You know Bette has shown and proven how much she loves Tina repeatedly over the last few weeks. She’s had to deal with the ass of an ex-husband Ollie, who got such a stick up his ass that he evidently is not enjoying, and all the drama incurred because of him, but she has stood by Tina’s side through it all. Tina in return, needed to do just one thing and did she NO. She needs to come up with a gigantic set of balls, tell Ollie to get over himself, tell her parents not only about Ollie but most importantly the good news, that she’s found someone who loves her regardless of the excess baggage and drama she’s carrying, and then she needs to get her sorry ass across the street as fast as she can, grovel, plead, kiss Bette’s feet, whatever but she damn well better make amends and prove once and for all that not only does she love Bette, but that their is no doubt that Bette understands that aside from her Children, she’s Tina’s world.

    10. Uh oh! Drama! Tina should’ve told her parents about both her and ollie. But Bette really did fly off the handle .. Hope they manage to talk it out before things escalate.. PPS

    11. First: when I was a kid and we played ‘Doctor’ adults were to be avoided and instead of putting on additional garments, some were lost temporarily. Second: I’m not comfortable with Bette having any amount of coke in her possession even if her prints aren’t on it and Oily’s are. I don’t think her lawyer will want any part of it either, they are considered officers of the court and don’t get a free pass on illegalites. Since Oily has chosen to try to sabotage them yet again, perhaps this would be a good time to turn the empty bag (just a little residue inside, enough to test) with his prints and yank the asshole’s real hard. He’s a scumbag and the kids would probably be better off in the long run knowing who daddy really is. Nor should he be on the police force. Third: I can understand Tina wanting a good belt, but both she and Bette escalate the problem by running from it, one way or the other.

    12. Yanking the asshole could work too though the visual is a little on the disturbing side. =O I can understand Bette flying off the handle seeing as Ollie showed up earlier that morning and made his drunken declaration to Tina. That doesn’t mean I think she should’ve flown off the handle.

    13. I totally agree with funnyone on ALL POINTS. Being an officer of the court I totally agree with funnyone. Oily is a slimy, number 1, superb BASTARD and really needs to be taken down a notch. Now I really do believe that he was going to plant the stuff in Tina’s house to make it look as though she is on drugs and use it in a custody battle. All signs point to it. Bette and Tina need an attorney that can jerk the rug from under him and Tina file for sole custody, after the bag has been thoroughly tested, of course. Oh God, does the b/s ever stop? Sometimes I really do hate some men and Oily is at the top of the list. Of course, he failed to mention that he is in a gay relationship. PPS

    14. I honestly don’t think I could hate Ollie (or Oily ©®funnyone) any more than I do, but that thing with Tina’s parents… ffs, what a toerag. Tina should’ve told them about her and Bette, yes, but don’t they know about Paul? Tina’d better get her priorities straight, else this might be the beginning of a lot of heartache. And Ally, if you’re only gonna do one story this week, then I vote for this one. Cheers!
