ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE – Chapter 50
Helena smiled with some satisfaction at Bette, Tina and her mother who were all chatting in the bar like old friends. She had been outside making a phone call and when she had walked back inside she had stopped for a few seconds to observe the three women. Bette and her mother were old friends – they both knew that Peggy had been the mother that Bette had never had. Helena remembered how she had brought Bette home one holiday and the bond had quickly formed between her mother and the shy brunette. There had been times when Bette had acted as peace maker between the two fiercely stubborn mother and daughter smoothing things over and bringing them together. In return Bette had become one of Peggy’s favourite people and she had been a good and loyal mentor to her.
Helena had kept her mother in touch with Bette’s budding relationship with Tina – telling her details about Tina’s daughters and her moronic ex husband and the way that Bette just lit up when Tina came into the room. Peggy wanted to meet Tina just to make sure that the blonde was good enough for the woman she considered her second daughter. The fact that this woman was also one of the best female crime writers in America was just the most perfect icing on the cake.
Helena had noticed that when Bette had introduced Tina to Peggy she had been beaming with pride – that said everything – that told Helena that Bette was in love like she had never been before. Peggy was impressed with the blonde and was gently asking her questions opening her out and soothing her nerves. Helena dropped her mobile in her bag and went back and joined the threesome.

“How’s Japan? “ Bette asked
“Not knowing what had hit them with Jodie there “Helena replied laughing
“Your young woman is somewhat – unpredictable? “ Peggy glanced at her daughter
“Jodie is unpredictable yes “Helena confirmed – she hoped her mother could see how proud she was of her lover

Your writing is flawless; you have created a story utilizing all these amazing characters and given them a great spin while holding onto their core personalities. AllyE, this chapter was as always, beautiful and loving. You show us what love really is between two people. The utter adoration, special moments, the fact that they would do anything and everything for the other person to be happy is waht it is all about. Love the story and love the way you show them. BTW, who wrote the quote?
Well it seems Ollie really is coming aroundeven though he still doesn’t like Bette. He is still PO’d that Bette publicly emasculated him, but he better get over it because there is no stopping the steamroller that is love between B&T. I subjest he bring a salad or dessert and behave at the BBQ. PPS

Hiya Ally, Congrats on the half century with this fine tale. This was another wonderful chapter highlighting the love that Bette and Tina feel for one another. Good to see Bette out there protecting Tina’s interests. Tina has never had a partner to lean on before. Ollie was there but always put his own interests before those of Tina. It is amazing to see how much Tina has grow in confidence given Bette’s belief in her. It is easier to believe in yourself when someone else does first. Having Tina a little drunk and very saucy was enticing and entrancing.Having the gals piled up against the wall as Paul and Ollie prepared to leave was tantalizing. So near to their aim yet so far away… It was sad to see that Ollie is still holding a grudge against Bette when everyone else can see that Bette is the best thing for Tina. I loved that Paul thinks that they will be married within the year. I do wonder how this revelation will affect Ollie and Paul’s relationship.Then the night of passion; an strip-tease that was so hot that Tina made a world -weary Bette hot and bothered. Bette reacted in typical form, changing the rules and bring them both to the realms of passion and highs of excitement. Am a little bewitched , bothered and bewildered myself. Awesome!!!I do hope that they get the cabin sorted out for their families and friends as this would open up a myriad of possibilities for holiday adventures and storylines as their children grow up.Please continue this loving story and delightful drama soon. We truly enjoyed the chapter! Not only it speaks about B’s support for Tina (all the way), but it also tells us about how their love has grown deeper. When 2 souls find their way to each other, it becomes so obvious and radiant that you can’t possibly hide it, or overshadow it. Tina’s way of thanking B was tempting, at first, but the way B turned the table around, for both of them to have their time together was more rewarding. It reinforces them as a couple and Tina’s comment to make sure B knows what she has brought to her life, it’s absolutely enlightening. Tks Ally, for another charming and delightful chapter.
