An epistolary affair
You reached out and lifted my chin. Your eyes had a new intensity that made my heart beat faster.
“My brave musketeer… My savior… Here is the kiss that you asked for.”
You leaned in until our lips were mere inches apart…
… Before I suddenly got up on both feet, and looked beyond your shoulder with horror.
“Oh my God, Madam… The King!”
You snorted then, but kept up with the act.
“The King!… My husband!… Oh no, we are caught!… We are lost! We… have to flee! Quick, my beloved, help me up on your horse and take me far away from here!”
With that, you suddenly jumped on my back, stunning me and making me stumble and nearly fall. I laughed but quickly regained my balance, and I started running as fast as I could around the garden.
“I will, my Queen…! I will take you away and keep you safe… But once you are officially dethroned, you had better move that royal butt and start cleaning my stinky dirty clothes. And then, you will bake that delicious chocolate red velvet cake of yours!”
You burst out laughing, and the jolts of your body against my back soon became contagious. I couldn’t help my laughter which, combined with the physical effort of the moment, got the best of me and I tripped, making us both fall on the grass, with you on top of me.
The shock of the fall startled us, but realization soon sent us into new fits of laughter, me with my head thrown back and a hand covering my face, and you with half of your body covering mine and your face buried in my neck.
Eventually, our laughter started to lessen and slowly died down.
You raised your head and looked at me with a smile. I smiled back and for a while we just stayed there, staring at each other with delight… with tenderness… with longing… with…
It suddenly hit me. Full force. Like a submerging wave whose path could only ever be dictated by Nature.
That was it… The moment I had been waiting my whole life.
The moment which had not come with Matthew… Nor with anyone that I had followed.

Oh I hope they aren’t going to be apart for too long! Thanks for the post. You 2 are doing a fantastic job with this!
Madam, for your Bette, my Tina will climb the highest mountain, swim the deepest ocean and cross the warmer deserts! For you have depicted the most tender, loving and incredibly romantic character there is. Can I really confess to being jealous of a fictitious character! Well you what I will…..I confess I am jealous of Tina! There is about a million places in your letter where my heart has jumped and until the very last line my heart was pounding as hard as the hearts of these two, were! This is how outstanding this piece was! You are unbelievably talented and I thank you too for agreeing to co-write with me! xxxx
That was incredibly awesome. And that was before I even reached the love scene. I love the role play in the garden you can only be that silly with the people you love easily able to let your guard down without no hesitation. Wow I don’t know how I’m going to go on until the next post. You both are doing a wonderful job. Can I just say Kword this is the best chapter you have written and that’s why it was probably the hardest.
Your letter was a full romantic circle! In Paris and in love!
Absolutely magnificient!!!! Both of you continue to amaze me with your writing and this letter just took my breath away with its love, the playfulness in the garden completely and totally laced with love, gallantry and the wondrous romance of a time period gone by. Can’t you just see Bette in one of the uniforms of the Musketeer emblazoned with the crest of the House of D’Artagnan, with the sword of her father and his hat doused while in a low bow to her Queen, her Royal Highness Christina. Beautiful chapter. Can hardly wait for more because you continue to outdo the last letter. This story must somehow be made into a book for all to enjoy. It would be a number one best seller. Truly beautiful love story. Thanks for posting.
Thud!…. *_* Kword… Even though I got bump in the head after hit the floor because of reading this, I would be still happily smile afterward! … :-D This one is simply blow me away! Those cute silliness of the role play and the love declaration inside the private garden… And the playfulness of Tina which is so endearing yet so romantic when left Bette the sketch-which maybe will become the first art in display inside the Bette Porter gallery? ;-)… OMG.. I would read this again later during the day, and looks like I would never get tired to re-read this letter! I guess Tina “herself” would treasure it more ;-) and about the tips of the places in Paris… Thanks! It’s inspirational! We’ll have one route under the title of this story – “epistolary route” … Let’s just hope that nobody is being arrested for breaking the rule by jumping over to closed area :-p lol … This story is getting better and better … And again, you two fabulous writers are really amazing!! :-) you two made me wondering: is romantic part of your genes or what…?? ;-) Looking forward to the next letter… :-)
Awesome as always.
That was just aboslutely romantic and beautiful. Damn that was good. Excellent thank you.
That was insanely hot but so beautiful.
