Angelica’s First Mother’s Day

“Aw, baby, that’s not true,” Lara said.
Dana tearfully replied, “Yes it is. They only accepted me because they loved Tonya.”
“Dana, they love you. They’re your parents and just had your life pictured differently. They’re still getting used to this you.”
“It’s been almost a year since I broke up with Tonya.”
“For a part of that time, they were upset about Howie and the Gay Pride thing.”
“I didn’t know he was going to try to hitchhike home naked, I made sure to call them when he was arrested.”
“I’m sure when they calmed down they appreciated the call.”
“Fuck them”
Dana and Lara sat at their table near the back of the Planet, Lara gently rubbing Dana’s back.
“We’re getting company,” Dana pointed her chin towards the front of the Planet as Carmen and Shane approached.
Carmen asked “You two OK? It looked like you were deep into something.”
“Yeah guys,” Shane said, “we can get another table.”
“No, stay,” Dana replied, pointing to the seats directly opposite. “It’s almost May, so we’re dealing with that passive aggressive gift thing.”
Carmen laughed, “Oh, the ‘Don’t waste your money buying me a gift; just get me a card, but you’d better get me something I can brag about’ day?”
Shane looked at them quizzically ”What is that?”
“The early May holiday that strikes fear and inadequacy in all,” Lara replied.
“Cinque de Mayo”
“No, baby,” Carmen said as she kissed Shane’s cheek. “Cinque de Mayo is fun all around. No angst. Mother’s Day.”
“Never been on my radar. So you guys are worried about?”
“The right gift.”
“Whether to even acknowledge it.”
“DANA!”
“I’ll send flowers.”
“OK, that works this year, but next year something bigger. And you have to call her.”
“No,”
“Yes.”
“No.”
“I bet Tonya calls her.”
Dana was shocked by Lara’s words. “She might. I’ll call my mother the day before.”
“Good for a start. Carmen, do you do something special…”
“The Lovebirds!!!”
The group looked up in surprise. They had not seen Alice approach.
Carmen muttered “Shit.”

The Story was great and funny, But since I am a Dana and Alice fan the whole Lara thing I was not crazy about…But great job and I hope you update it..

This was so much fun to read, you brought so much life to these characters. It felt like reading a transcript of what happened after the affair. great, great update
Oh Spumoni,Spumoni…the first part was so sad, and so angrifying…and the next part was just funny. Alice making concrete?? Run! RUN! You forgot to say what happened with that little project, not to mention creating concrete structures in the kitchen! I wouldn’t let anyone put my baby in concrete unless they knew what they were doing, and I don’t think anyone would ever accuse Alice of knowing what she was doing. Too funny. Actually I thought SHE was going to get stuck in the concrete. You know you are a great writer…No more sitting on this stuff!!

I was a little conserned for TiBette at the beginning but you totally turned that around and into something amazing, loved it!

Slug trapping, that sounds fun. I loved how both Bette and Tina went out to get that special thing that binds Angelica to both. What happened to Alice’s gift that Alice was trying to put together? Did she get Angelica’s glutues or other body parts forever cemented into a hard surface?

I hate when tina and bette hated each other I still cant watch season 3…but love prevailed at the end I have to keep telling myself that…tibette forever!!! nice story
