    Author Notes:

    Shane and Carmen go to LaMas, leaving Alex and Alice alone….with Alice’s girlfriend.

    Chapter 4- Jumbled Up

     

    Shane looked at her watch as she impatiently tapped her foot, while waiting on the couch.

     

    Shane: Carmen, lets go. We’ll be late for Lamas.

     

    Carmen: okay, okay I’m coming.

     

    Shane ran into Alex’s room. She opened the door to see Alex, in bed, watching a movie. She smiled and walked up to her. She kissed the girl’s forehead and pulled her up, into her arms.  Alex responded, hugging her mother back, as tightly as she could.

     

    Shane: you sure you’re gonna be okay?

     

    Alex nodded.

     

    Shane: Alice and Cally will be over in a couple minutes.

     

    Alex: MAA!!

     

    Shane: I don’t feel comfortable leaving you home.

     

    Alex: Why Cally?

     

    Shane: Because she’s clingy and never lets Alice go anywhere without her. I’m surprised she doesn’t follow her into the bathroom.

     

    Alex pouted.

     

    Shane: Look, I know it’s hard, but they’re the only ones I can think of. Next time, I promise I’ll get your Abeula, okay?

     

    Alex: Whatever.

     

    Shane: Cheer up kid, its only 3 hours.

     

    Carmen showed up in the door frame.

     

    Carmen: Ready?

     

    Shane nodded and walked over to her as Carmen went and kneeled next to Alex’s bed. Carmen kissed her temple, leaving a lipstick mark on it. She licked her finger and whipped it off. She was quickly batted away by Alex.

     

    Shane: That’s disgusting.

     

    Alex: Madre!

     

    Carmen: Sorry, I got lipstick on you.

     

    Carmen hugged her.

     

    Carmen: Both are cells are on if you need us.

     

    Alex: Bye

     

    Carmen hugged her again.

     

    Carmen: Oh I don’t like leaving you!

     

    Shane: We’re gonna be late.

     

    Carmen blew a kiss to Alex.

     

    Carmen: Bye honey.

     

    Shane: Cya bud.

     

    Alex: Bye guys.

     

    Carmen and Shane left. Alex sighed. She turned off the TV , then looked over and grabbed her laptop. She flipped it open and started to type. About 20 minutes later, Alice knocked on her bedroom door and came in. Alex jumped and closed the laptop. Alice looked at her quizzically.

    2. Um so i don’t know whether this was on purpose or because you didn’t write it all at the same go but you refered to Alice’s GF as Cally, Clara, Carla. I was amused. Glad to see that your lap top got fixed so you could update.
