Chapter Nineteen
“What do you think of this one?” Tina came out of the fitting room with a white dress with thick straps and stopped at the knee.
Alice smiled faintly. “It’s look great if you’re going to the Kentucky Derby. All you need is the big hat.” Tina sighed.
“C’mon Al—you need to help me. I have to find a dress for my wedding.”
“Okay, okay I’m sorry.” Alice handed Tina another one she picked out. “Try this one on.” Tina walked back into the fitting room, and Alice sat back down. “Honestly why did you decide that you wanted to do the wedding so soon?”
“Yesterday, when Bette and I were talking she asked me where I wanted to go for vacation.”
“What did you say?”
“I told her Paris, and she wanted to get married first and then Paris will be our honeymoon.”
“Ooohhh—gay Paris. I’ve always wanted to go there.” Tina smiled. “What made you choose Paris?”
“I want to get away from the states. I want to see something different.” She walked out of the fitting room, and Alice stood up. “What about this one?” Tina stood in front of Alice in a strapless dress that was tight at the top and flowing at the bottom with a small train.
“You look beautiful.” Alice smiled softly.
“Should I get it?”
“Hell yeah,” Tina smiled as she admired herself in the dress.
“Al—I wanted to ask you something.” She turned towards her friend. “We’ve known each other for a long time, and I wanted to ask you if you want to be my maid of honor.” She smiled softly. Alice walked towards Tina and grabbed her hand.
“I would love to.” She smiled and gave Tina a big hug. She sniffed softly, and Tina smiled.
“Thanks Al.”

“Do you guys really think it’s necessary for me to wear tux? I just want to be all dressed up. It’s going to be on a beach.” Bette sat in a chair.
“She’s right Max. We shouldn’t try and put her in a tux.” Shane took a seat next to Bette.
“Why don’t you just wear tan linen pants with a white top?”

A number of people are always trying to be first to comment, since I am always late to the party I have decided to try and be the last post, no just kidding. I love the fact that they are getting married and even more that they can be open about their thoughts. In the beginning Bette would have been angry if Tina had voiced concern about getting married so quickly. Now she is able to take into consideration Tina’s thoughts.
