Harmony took a trip to the sperm bank that following weekend.  She wanted to make sure Marcus’ specimen was still available.  She opted to keep Bette out of this for now so she wouldn’t get her hopes up for nothing.  To Harmony’s surprise and great delight there was still some left.  She couldn’t have been more thrilled.  She read over his physical profile since she never really did see what he looked like or know his history.  She did know he produced one beautiful child with Angelica and if Bette trusted him the first time there was no doubt she would the second.  Now Harmony didn’t really know which step she wanted to take next.  She wanted this to be a complete surprise for Bette.  She toyed with the idea of just getting inseminated and telling Bette once she was sure she was pregnant.  That seemed a bit too hasty though.  She considered just getting the sperm and bringing it home, surprise!  That seemed a bit forced.  She knew Bette would be on board but they had never actually discussed it.  Now was the best time for them both.  Angelica wasn’t a baby anymore, Harmony just had a new promotion which meant a little more time at home and the ability to work from home during the pregnancy.  Bette’s position at the university was stable and allowed her most of the week to be home.  The house was big enough.  There was no practical reason to not have a child now.  The timing couldn’t be more perfect for either of them.  Harmony decided to get the forms and brochures from the bank and bring them home leaving them out for Bette to see.  Once she saw them Harmony would play it by ear from there.  Harmony called Bette to make sure she would be home this evening.

Bette:  “Firecracker where are you?”

Harmony:  “Just out running a few errands.  Do you have any plans for tonight?”

Bette:  “After I take Angelica back to Tina’s no.  Why?”

Harmony:  “No reason really.  Just wanted to make sure you’d be around is all.”

Bette: “For you, always.”

Harmony:  “I have no doubt.  Ok, about what time do you think you’ll be back from that?”
