“I’m so sorry Nikki, I’m so sorry.” Shane sobbed into Nikki’s shoulder, the teen still wasn’t sure she knew whole story but the bruises alone was angering Shane to the point where the teen didn’t think she could control herself.
“Why weren’t you here Shane? You were supposed to be here.” Nikki mumbled into Shane’s neck, the teen’s body shook with disappointment as she held onto the young Latina as tightly as possible.
“I’m sorry…Shane? We really need to finish these questions…then Nikki needs to have a full examination done…I apologize but you can’t be here for either. You can wait for her and I’ll find you as soon as we’re finished.” The cop lightly placed a hand on Shane’s shoulder as her head rose,
“An examination? What the fuck happened?” The cop looked to Sonny who quickly pulled Shane from the room and into the hall.
“What the fuck do you think happened Shane? A teenage girl waiting in the alley in the middle of the night…she was a fucking billboard rape victim.” The counselor shoved Shane against the wall and straightened his jacket,
“I knew all about your late night breakouts, and you should consider yourself responsible for this…lucky for Nikki I showed up when I did.” Sonny spat at the teen as Shane looked at him warily,
‘Yeah lucky for Nikki you were there, why were you there Sonny? It was only fifteen minutes, that seems like an awful lot of good luck.” Shane said slowly, her anger building as Sonny struggled for an answer. The cops had a timetable that didn’t involve Shane and the thought that Nikki could have been raped, found, and taken care of in fifteen minutes was improbable.
“I was going out for a smoke, I heard screams so I ran and found Nikki in the alley where you were supposed to meet her. And I don’t have to explain myself to you.” Sonny replied snottily, Shane’s chest heaved as she watched the corners of his mouth turn into a smile. The teen lunged at him, grabbing the counselor around the waist and tackling him hard sliding both of their bodies into the halls intersection.
“I’ll kill you!” Shane screamed, her fingers tightening around Sonny’s neck. Three cops ran down the hallway as the teen grew louder slamming Sonny’s head into the linoleum floor.
“Tell them Sonny! Tell them now!” Shane’s eyes blurred with tears as Sonny’s strangled gasps cut through the air. The teen’s teeth clenched and her body seized as she tumbled to the floor, the cops rushed to pull Shane off of Sonny.
“What the fuck happened?” Sonny coughed, pushing himself away from Shane’s still jumping body.
“Stun gun, it’s non-lethal.” The cop explained quickly pulling out a pair of handcuffs and locking them over Shane’s wrists. Sonny slowly stood wiping the trail of blood that was forming around the back of his head from off of his neck.
“You should have shot the bitch,” Sonny spat looking down at Shane who appeared to be unconscious,
“So what are we doing with her? Are you going to press charges?” The cop asked, Sonny crouched down in front of Shane’s limp body and brushed the messy hair out of her face smiling as her eyelids flickered.
“No I could never press charges, Shane is simply a troubled teen with a very delicate and uneven mental state…I think a transfer to Glades might be a more humane and productive route. I’ll inform them of their new patient.”

I have missed this story. Bette and Tina part was to short though. Leave them tell each other that they love each other. I am totally digging Shane history and is starting to hate the she is going to jail or get killed. Post soon.

I think you already know what an amazing writer you are… and an amazing woman. I’ll always have time to read your stories… your words bring life to all your characters. I must admit though I’m a little more then happy to hear of Jenny’s death… one less carnival freak, lol. I’m sad at the lack of Alice/Dana but I’ll get over it. It’s a good thing Carmen was the one making the chioce of which pen to use… not sure I’d make the right choice. You really have me hooked on this flashback of Shane and Nikki… was Sonny the one who attacked Nikki? I am so curious as to what will happen with all the characters and how it will all end…. or will there be a sequel? I hope you give me a little hint… after all you know a big secret about mine. I can’t wait for the next chapter. I love you, sugar.
It’s so great to see an update. I was really missing this fic. Not too much Danish in this update, but still a great job. I may be really, really over analyzing this, but…Alice seemed really suspicious. First she shows up behind Dana in the alley. Then she has blood on her, and she was the only other one, that I know of, that knew that Jenny woke up. Hmmm. Very interesting. Alice isn’t evil, is she? It’s not a big huge ploy, is it? I hope that I’m really wrong, and reading way too far into this. I guess I’ll have to wait and see, won’t I? Great job. It’s good to have you back in action…so to speak. I can’t wait for more.
Sonny did it and I hope that Shane kills the bastard. Someone took out Jenny and I do believe that Tina may have found her alibi.
Sooooooooooooooo…let me start off with a great big fatty mo, I hate you too :D So very much in fact…that as I read this in it’s magnificent entirity…I felt the distinct urge to yank my toe nails out, one by one, and put them on an alter of scrifice to the almighty ClozzyD…but then…I remember that you had very little Danish in it…and zero Danish lovin’…which means that I get to keep my toe nails….so until that happens…they stay where they are…anyways, this was fucking fantastic as always. It is rare that I find myself giving a shit about characters who’s names aren’t Dana and/or Alice, but you have done it my friend. The Shane story line is really cool babe. So great job as always. Can’t wait for the next and also, TLWOY needs an update…pretty please??? I love you and hate you at the same time…how does that even happen??? Oh well. Later butt head. Someone I know (female)was just diagnosed with a blood disorder that sounds a lot like Shane’s. Something with “bran” in it. I know you mentioned this before, but is that what her condition is?
