    Beautiful Tuscany Chapter 3

“Hello beautiful,” Bette said to Tina, as she approached her. Their eyes danced around each other in that moment.

“I’m just going to say goodnight to Allen and Charlise,” Bette spoke gently.

“Walk with me? she asked Tina. Bette took her hand.

    “Of course,” Tina replied.

At 1 o’clock am, opening night had finally come to an end. Bette and Tina made their rounds to say their good-byes. Alice and Dana had decided to leave just after Kit. And before too long, James was making his way out the door. Charlise, was still admiring Allen’s work for the last time that evening. She called out to Bette and Tina, who was now coming up the main corridor.

“Oh my how time does fly, darlings,” she said, kissing them one after the other. “Preparing to go, she asked?”

“Yes, we should be going,” Bette answered.

“You were not going to leave without saying good-bye to me were you?” Allen said as she stepped close to Bette and Tina.

“Of coures not,” Bette said, and gave her mentor a quick squeeze.

“It was as I expected,” Allen said joyfully. “Just simply magnificent! I couldn’t be anymore happy then I am at this moment.” Bette reached over to hug Allen again.

“I’m thrilled as well,” Bette beamed. “However, all good thing must come to and end. Tina and I should be going. We have a little one to get home to.”

“Well,” Allen said, “that’s right. You two have a wonderful night.”

“Yes, darlings,” Charlise piped in. “Have a good night. And we will see you soon.”

“I can’t see a thing Bette!” cried out. Thelma had forgotten to leave on the porch light. Bette couldn’t find the right key to get in the house. Tina snickered at Bette, who was still fumbling for the key, when Thelma flicked on the light and jerked open the door.

“I’m sorry,” she said in a whisper. “You can tell old age has set in,” she chuckled.

    “No Problem,” Tina told her.

“Bette grinned and said, “I thought we might have to sleep on the porch,”

Thelma laughed, “No dear, that wouldn’t happen.”

“Everything go okay tonight?” Tina said to Thelma as she sat down on the sofa to remove her shoes.

    1. A dream, OMG, you have got to be kidding me. I’m dying here. Your writing was so descriptive, you could just picture both of them dressed up gazing at each other across the gallery, knowing time stood still for the both of them. So how about the next time it not being a dream. Can’t wait
