Id just like to say welcome to our new couple, Bette and Tina.

She had actually convinced her to go. Why were they here again? Oh, right. To stay on top of things. Shed done that last night. So why this? It was mostly for Tina, but Bette knew there could be some kind of benefit to attending the group. She was going to be a first time parent, and the first question she had for herself was, what will my children call me?

Bette, would you like to share first? You look like you have a lot to talk about.

Her name was Ellen -yes- Ellen, and she was in fact *****, but nonot THE Ellen. So anyhow, this group leader Ellen was very sweet and friendly, but it didnt matter much to Bette, she wasnt sharing on her first trip out.

Uh, no. Im just tired. The kids were crying all night long. I didnt get a wink of sleep.

As if she had momentarily opened up some kind of mystical chatting portal, the entire circle of lesbians began to buzz.

Its just the beginning honey, one woman quipped, wait until they start teething.

Tina smiled, a hint of weariness on her face. The children did in fact cry all night long. The only thing she wanted to do when they got home was sleep. But she couldnt do that, because the kids would need tending to until they went to bed. It was going to be a never ending cycle.

This is a good topic you bring up, Bette. We actually have a program here within the group. Its called Share Care, and what happens is each couple takes a turn at running a little day care center at their home, watching the other parents children so that they can get some much needed rest. After your turn you get to hand your kids over and rest yourself. Its been working out quite nicely so far, hasnt it, ladies?

They nodded and all agreed in unison with yes, saved my marriage, and couldnt have survived without it.

Tina gave this particular idea a great deal of thought as the meeting progressed. They shared nightmare stories, fears and joys, Q and A, favorite Barney episode (through this Bette vowed never to purchase anything Barney), and much more. They left and about an hour had passed.
