Jess walks up to the podium…

Thank you Bette wow what a introduction… I had no idea you were going to say what you said… some laughing in the audience… but before we open the doors there is something I would like to say… I have 2 very important people in my life… the first one and not in any order by any means… this person is my best friend… I can’t tell you how many times we were late for school or our next class or dinner… because I had to finish a painting… and she would wait with me and take the heat with me from our teachers…
and I see some of them here tonight… more laughter… any way… she was always there if not to run out to the store because I was running low of a particular color… or I needed smaller or larger brushes… what ever the reason she was there… and I love her for that… always being there for me… my best friend Cindy Richards

And the next person I want to thank well she was with me from the beginning… when I fell she caught me and when I ran she ran after me… she always encouraged me to express myself… never told me I couldn’t… always told me I could and would… she also went on many paint runs for me… and would always pick up extra canvass… she would say I saw them and thought you could use them… and she was always right… Im sure you probably guessed whom Im talking about… She is My best… truest… friend and when needed she is my Mother… Ms. Tina Kennard… more clapping

Bette:  Ok ladies and gentlemen… what we all have been waiting for…

AS THE WALLS OPEN…

BETTE:   WELCOME ALL TO “JESSICA WATER’S WORLD”…

The crowd starts to file into the Gallery… you could hear the reactions from people… the oooohs and aaaahs most were in awe… some were speechless… but they all knew they wanted a Jessica Waters original…

Jess walked through with Bette… people were asking her about different paintings and Jess answered all questions… she knew her stuff… Bette was so proud of Jess… she beamed with pride…

Joe and Missy and Jim and Lynn were also beaming with pride as they walked through the maze of paintings

Alice still had her connections with LA Magazine and they were there to cover the story… pictures being taken… questions were being asked and Jess answered all of them… very professionally… she was truly an Artist in every sense of the word.

An older woman came up to Bette… Bette darling… how are you… you out did your self on this show

Bette:  Well Ms. Peggy Peabody… its always a pleasure to see you… may I present Jessica Waters

Peggy:  Dont be so formal Bette dear and call me Peggy… so Jess… I love your work… and if Bette didnt have this silly rule… I would have purchased every one of your paintings

Bette:  but Peggy its not a silly rule… this way at least 100 collectors can say they have her work…

Peggy:  I know Bette… but you know me… when I like something I want it all

Jess:  Thank you very much Peggy…

Peggy:  and so polite… wish my granddaughter had half of her manners… well with Helena for a mother…any way… let me pick out my painting… see you later dear

Jess:  Wow… who was that

Bette:  just some eccentric billionaire…  Jess relax… she is also very nice… loves to spend her money on Art… if she likes it that is

Oh Bette Dear… How are you?

Bette:  OH hi Helena… let me introduce you to Jess… Jess this is Helena Peabody… Peggy’s daughter

Jess:  Oh… hi… its a pleasure to meet you

Helena:  yeah I know it is hey Bette have a minute

Bette:  Jess keep mingling… Ill catch up

Helena:  Bette and again another year you didn’t pick my daughter Mias work for this show of yours

Bette:  And again I will tell you Helena… I have no idea who the artists are I only have a number and I make my selection… Anne is the only one who knows the names… and she won’t tell a soul… its worked like this since the first year I started this

Helena:  You know I would donate a large check to your gallery

Bette:  Helena please don’t insult me… I don’t need your money

Tina:  Oh excuse me Bette… but your wanted on the other side…

Helena:  My My and who is this Bette… the new flavor of the week

Bette:  Helena… this is Tina Waters… Jesss mother…

Helena:  Really… well maybe tonight won’t be a total loss… Tina… I’m Helena Peabody… its a pleasure to meet you

Tina:  Why thank you… looking at Bette for help

Bette:  come on Tina…

Helena:  leave her here Bette… I won’t bite, unless she wants me too

Bette:  Helena… she is straight… married… your barking up the wrong tree… so move along

Helena:  Well they all say they are straight… but one night with me… and well I don’t like to kiss and tell

Bette:  The ***** you don’t

Helena:  Do I detect a hint of jealousy there Bette… maybe youre pissed off because I never wanted to go out with you

Bette:  Don’t lose any sleep over it Helena… I like my woman soft and passionate… not cold and bitchy… lets go Te… Tina

Helena:  Tee… a little pet name there Bee

Bette:  Not at all *****… as they walk away… Im sorry Tina… she is such a *****…

Tina:  I picked up on that… I think this would be a good time to introduce you to Joe… I know she is watching us… so lets just get this over with

Bette:  Good idea…

Tina:  Joe I want to you to meet Bette… Bette this is my ex-husband Joe Waters

Bette:  its nice to meet you Joe… I just love your daughter… she is one ***** of an artist

Joe:  looking Bette up and down… knowing Tina sees this… hmmm Bette… how do you do… and I bet you do just fine… how about we go somewhere and get to know each other

Tina just listens and feels Missy and Lynn grab her arms and pull her away… and all just burst out laughing

Missy:  he doesn’t have a snowballs chance in ***** with Bette

Lynn:  OMG… I can’t believe the nerve of that man

Tina:  But you have to admit… its ***** funny… and Im sure Bette will take care of him just fine

Bette:  I’m sorry… but Im in a relationship and I would never even dream of ruining it… if you will excuse me… I have other guests to attend to… but it was a pleasure meeting the father of Jessica

Bette walks away just shaking her head… finds Tina… and takes her into her office…

Bette:  please tell me he wasn’t always that Pig-Headed

Tina:  no actually he was a great guy… but I guess he is still looking for himself…

Both just start laughing

Bette:  he should start with his brain… maybe I should hook him up with Helena

Tina:  Now that would be something to watch… hmmm the food smells good… lets eat something so later we can ravish each other

Bette:  Why do you think I steered you this way…
