Peggy: you and Helena have become such good friends… and I must say that it pleases me to no end… BUT…
 
Bette:  "4LizzieBet" is my Mother… now I have not seen or heard form her since that night she left me… but I know her work… and that painting was one of hers… and what she has to do with Patrick… I really don’t know… Patrick has asked me to trust him and all questions will be answered in the morning…
 
Tina:  I still can’t believe it… I was standing there when Patty took that color tape off the signature… I don’t think she was suppose to do that… and all of a sudden everyone knew who this artist was… when I saw it all I could think about was finding Bette so she wasn’t blind sides…
 
Bette:  it was close… so Peggy that is the truth..
 
Peggy signals to the driver to take them home…
 
Peggy:  I guess you couldn’t make this up… Bette I hope all turns out well in the morning… what I wouldn’t do to be a fly o the wall…
 
Bette:  should be interesting…
 
they all were quiet and soon the Limo pulled up to Bette and Tina’s house… where they all said their good nights…

The next morning…

A knock on the door and Tina answers…

Tina:  (Smiling)… please come in…

I was told to bring bagels… I didn’t know how many would be here or what kinds everyone liked… so I told the girl 2 of each…   so 3 dozen bagels later… and I also picked up a few different kinds of cream cheese… and then I turned around and saw the Italian bakery…

Linda walks is and sees Tina standing there with a huge smile across her face and a woman talking non stop…

Tina:  Lexi… Please come in and please take a breath… oh and I would like you to meet my Mom… Linda Kennard… Mom this is Lexi…

Linda:  it’s a pleasure…

Lexi:  How do you do…

Tina:  do you have canoli in there…

Lexi:  Oh yeah… that’s one thing that England doesn’t have… at least I never found it…

Bette walks in with Tessa in her arms…

Bette:  was that Patrick at the door… (then she looks up)

Bette just stopped… Thank God she was holding Tessa… Tina censed their discomfort…

Tina:  hey babe… let me introduce you to Lexi… Lexi this is Bette Porter… whom I’m sure you know…

Lexi:  Bette… it’s a privilege to met you…

Bette:  thank you… the pleasure is all mine…

Linda:  Bette why don’t you give me Tessa…

Bette:  thanks mom… its amazing how much a tablespoon of rice grows…

Linda: I know I usually end up wearing enough of it too… and Tessa this is Lexi…

Lexi:  she is beautiful… she looks so much like the both of you… how did you do that… (Smiling)

Tina:  Thank you… and I agree she looks so much like both of us…

Tina just watched Bette… she cold tell something was up…

Tina:  let’s go into the kitchen… coffee is ready or tea if you prefer…

Lexi:  coffee sounds heavenly right about now…

Tina places her arm around Bette’s waist and they walk into the kitchen… 

Linda poured Lexi a cup and then placed a teapot on the table for Bette and Tina…

Lexi:  no coffee for either of you…

Tina:  well I am still nursing Tessa and

Bette:  I told Tina that we are partners with every thing… so since she can’t drink coffee… I wouldn’t either…

Tina:  what she does at the office is another story…

Bette: we all have our secrets baby…

Tina:  hmmm hey babe want a canoli…

Bette:  I think I’ll go for a salt bagel…

Lexi:  then you need cold hard butter for that…

Tina:  I was just going to say that…

Linda: me too… I guess it’s a very popular saying…

Lexi just looked at Bette… then at Tina…

Bette:  (Spreading the butter on her bagel), then looking up and right at Lexi)… actually its not… right MOM…

Tina and Linda just look at each other… both thinking the shit is going to hit the fan…
