Tina gets up and walks into the family room… Bette sees her and "Tries" to hide the gifts…
Tina: Nice try babe… but I see Santa was early…
Bette: He just left, but I think he said he would be back…
Linda: Yes I also heard him say that…
Tina: What am I going to do with the two of you…
Bette: Love us…
Tina: I guess… do I even ask who all the gifts are for…
Bette: You will have to wait for tomorrow…
Tina: But its ok that you both know…
Bette: Who do you think helped Santa lug all of this in here…
Tina: And is that why he has to come back…
Linda: I think we should start getting the food on the table… everyone should be here real soon
Bette: We should… come on mom, I’ll help you…
Tina: Chicken…
Linda: Tina we are not having chicken tonight… you wanted all fish tonight…
Tina: I meant the two of you… you’re both chickens…
Bette: The biggest on two feet… lets go mom…
Tina followed them into the kitchen…
Tina: I’m starving… I hope they get here soon…
Linda: Tee… sit down… I think it would be ok if we start early…
Frank: It works for me…
Just then the front door opens and in walks in Kit, Lisa, James and Shane…
Linda: Perfect timing… everyone take a seat…
Lisa: Let me guess… Tina is hungry…
Bette: Right you are…
They all hug and kiss and take a seat…

The next morning Bette wakes up first… she is starring at Tina… willing her to wake up…
Tina: Babe its early…
Bette: But it Christmas Morning…
Tina: I guess I should get used to it…
Bette: You should… because from now on every Christmas s morning will be an early morning in this house…
Tina: With you waking the kids up…
Bette: Yes… now please get up… we have to see if Santa came back…
Tina just looks at Bette… she knows that when Bette was growing up, Melvin never let her believe in Santa…
Tina: Ok, I’m getting up… but can I pee first…
Bette: Well.. I mean yes… of course… I’ll wait…
Bette was like a 5 year old… she couldn’t wait for Tina to open the next present… Linda was already up and she called Frank… and they watched Bette and Tina… Tina opened so many gifts for the baby… first a girl gift and then a boy gift… each brought smiles and tears to their faces…
Tina: Bette you are going to have to show some control… I can’t believe all the things you got…
Bette: Well we will only be using half of what I got… the other half gets put away …
Tina: Babe please promise me you’ll stop buying… the baby will out grow everything before he or she has a chance to wear it twice…
Linda just watches… she knows the girls are also planning a baby Shower… she will have to tell everyone to buy larger sizes… or keep the receipts…
Tina: I don’t think I ever opened so many presents on Christmas morning…
Frank: Well that says a lot for us…
Tina: I didn’t mean it the way it sounded.. most of what I opened weren’t for me…
Bette: I think you forgot one…
Bette hands her a small gift… the bow was larger then the box… Tina just looks at Bette…
Bette: Open it baby…
Tina opened it and inside it was 2 Mother’s necklace’s… both with plenty of room to add baby’s names… Tina now was crying again… as Bette took her into her arms…
Tina: They are beautiful…
Bette: I can’t wait to fill them up…

Congratulations Doesn’t just make you melt?? Poor Tina is only 6 months and seems so tired. Tina is going to have her hands full with Bette and a baby. Who will be the bigger one??? Melvin is a complete__________. thanks for posting Hope you begin to feel Better. Walking always helped me with my hip and back. Setting was hard getting up was harder thanks again

Hello AMG, Many congratulations on being a grandma. I am sure little Mackenzie Lynn will bring so much joy to all the family. Such a wonderful addition. As for this delicious tale; adorable to see this soft and loving side of Bette. TIna really brings out the best in Bette. Her generousity know no bounds for their child. Material gifts do have a place but being there to comfort and cuddle Tina are the most important. Never underestimate the value of time shared together.
