Bette finally woke up at 2:00… and the room was spinning… and Tina was there taking care of her as she had promised…
Bette: Tee I hope you got the name of the truck that ran over me last night…
Tina: I think it was the same truck that also ran over Alice, Dana, Lara and Shane… Kit was busy and so were the taxi’s…
Bette: Please tell me I didn’t give you a hard time…
Tina: Bette you didn’t give me a hard time… you were having a good time… singing and dancing… ok you were so off key … but you were so cute…
Bette: I need a shower…
Tina: I think we should let the Tylenol work a little before we try that…
Bette: But I really need to use the bathroom…
Tina: Well that we should do… just lean on me… and don’t worry… I’m fine…
After Tina helped her in the bathroom and finishing undressing… and back into bed…
Bette: I think you’re right… I need to close my eyes for a little while longer…
Tina: Take your time… we have no where to go and I doubt anyone is coming over today…

The rest of the day Bette wasn’t in a good mood… she cursed drinking… and told Tina if she ever drank that much again… well she wasn’t going to drink that much again… and Tina just humored her… agreeing 100%… each knew it would happen again… but neither saying that it would… Tina took good care of Bette… making home made chicken soup for her and making sure she had plenty of fresh water to drink all day… by the time they both needed to go to work… Bette was better… and that was a good thing… work had piled up over the holidays… and she knew she had to get it all together well before the spring show… with the birth of the baby and the show falling about the same week…
On the other side of town… Tina and Jill were also swamped with work… that at the end of each day… Tina dragged herself home and was sleeping by the time Bette got home… this happened for the next 3 weeks…

Bette woke up early this Friday morning… she was determined to talk to Tina… Tina finally woke up to Bette starring at her…
Tina: Hey babe…
Bette: Well hello stranger…
Tina: I know its been a while… this is crazy… every night I come home and all I want to do is sleep… work has been nuts…
Bette: Don’t you think its time for you to cut down on your hours and days…
Tina: I am… in fact today I am meeting with Scott and telling him on Tuesdays and Thursdays I am working from home…
Bette: That’s a start… I feel sorry for Jill… will they get someone to help her…
Tina: I don’t know… I think Scott was talking about Lisa for the summer… college will be over and she could use the extra money…
Bette: True…
Tina: And besides… I think on Tuesday and Thursday Jill will be here working with me… until I have the baby that is… and what about you…

Heck, I can’t pole dance at all and the only problems I have is lack of dancing skills and the dun-lap syndrome. Glad that Tina will be able to work from home and that Lisa gets to earn some money in the process. Loved the New Year’s party and night after. Poor Bette.
