Bette: You get me.Your kidding right? She looked at Casey and shook her head in disbelief, Casey just stood there smiling. Somehow I feel Im getting the short end of the stick
Casey: I want you Miss Porter. I get you and my mouth stays shut?
Bette: You will never be able to prove it. Casey smiled
Casey: Maybe, maybe notbut believe me when I say I can be quite convincing
Bette scoffed and began to walk off when Casey grabbed hold of her wrist, pulled her back and tried to kiss her. Bette pushed her away before her lips got anywhere near her mouth, she gave Casey a pathetic look.
Casey: Is she really worth it Miss Porter. are you willing to you lose you job over her?
Bette semi laughed and walked off . Think about it Casey shouted and smiled as she watched Bette disappear into the crowd.
BACK AT THE TABLE
Alice: Jesus Christ Porter, what did you have to go to China to get the drinks, were dying of thirst over herewait a sec Alice noticed that Bette didnt have any drinks. What did you work up a thirst on the walk back Alice looked at Bette with raised eyebrows. Tina seen the blank expression on Bettes face and knew that something was wrong.
Tina: Babe you ok
Bette looked at Tina, she debated on weather or not to tell Tina about what just happened but she didnt want to ruin the girls night so she decided against it and she didnt want Tina to worry.
Alice: Earth to Porter.Porter
Dana: Bette, uh Bette Bette stood there in her own little world not hearing anything the girls were saying, replaying everything Casey had said over in her head. Finally Tina stood up in front of her and took her hand in hers
Tina: Babe, you ok Bette broke out of her daze.
Bette: What, huh she looked Tina in the eyes Im sorry, what?
Alice: Ok no more drinks for Porter, its obvious the alcohol is having an affect on her ageing brain she giggled but stopped when no one else laughed.
Shane: Porter you right
Bette looked at the girls.
Bette: Im sorry guys but im going to have to call it a night, Im not feeling to well
A concerned look washed over Tinas face.
Alice: Your piking it Porter, the nights still young. Bette gave her a slight smile.
Bette: Sorry guys
Shane: Its all good, but you have to make it up next time
Bette: I will she chucked a $50 buck note on the table. Next rounds on me
She took hold of both Tinas hands and looked her in the eyes
Bette: Stay and have fun ok
Tina: But I Bette cut her off before she could finish.
Bette: Im ok Tee, promise me youll stay and have fun with the girls ok
Tina searched Bettes eyes trying to find a answer as to what was happin in that head of hers.
Tina: Babe Bette looked at her with pleading eyes. Ok, but only if you promise me your ok Bette wanted to tell her that everything was ok, that she was fine, but it was quite the opposite. She just needed some time to herself to go home and think about the situation she was in and how she was going to get out of it.
Bette: Call me when you get home so I can say goodnight ok Tina knew there was something wrong but she didnt want to push Bette.
Tina: Ok, I love you those words made a warm feeling wash over her body, she smiled at Tina
Bette: I love you to she turned to the girls. Make sure you take care of her
Alice: Just like she was my own girlfriend Bette raised her eyebrows But shes not so you dont have to worry she giggled
Shane: Ill take care of her Bette turned to her and smiled.
Bette: Thank-you she turned to Tina and kissed her hand Call me when you get home The girls all watched as Bette walked out the club.
Alice: What was that all about Tina had a concerned look on her face
Tina: I dunno but im going to find out Shane looked at Tina
Shane: Hey lets go get some drinks
