Coming out to Old Friends.

They got up early the next day so they could get home sooner. Bette thanked Anthony for all his help and assured him they would come back soon.

When they got home, Tina couldnt wait to call her mom and Erin. Maggie and Erin were thrilled about the upcoming ceremony. They loved Bette and were very happy for them and of course Maggie wanted to help plan the entire event. Tina was talking to her mom for awhile.

Maggie: By the way Tina have you checked your messages, Vanessa called here to make sure of your number. Shes trying to reach you.
Tina: Okay Ill give her a call.
Maggie: Tina have you told her about Bette?
Tina: Not exactly, I mean she knows Im seeing someone and Im in love and its getting serious, she just doesnt know its a woman.
Maggie: You have to tell her, shes your best friend, or was until Bette, but she needs to know.
Tina: I know. Ill call her tonight and tell her. I need to go mom, Ill call you later. I love you and tell Erin I love her.
Maggie: I will and I love you baby, all my love to Bette.

Tina hung up.
Tina: *****! *****! *****!
Bette: Whats wrong, your mom was okay with everything, Right? Bette looked worried.
Tina: Oh yeah, mom and Erin are thrilled, and mom wants to help us plan.
Bette: But why all the ***** flying out of your mouth?
Tina: Well, remember me telling you about my friend Vanessa? Shes trying to get in touch with me.
Bette: yeah so?
Tina: I havent talked to her for a few months, we email each other every week, but you know were both so busy, we havent talked. Any way she knows Im in love with a wonderful person and its a serious relationship but I never told her its with you. A woman.

Bette: laughed. Is that all? So tell her, if shes your friend shell be fine, if not shes not the friend you thought she was. Bette kissed her and held her close.
Tina: Ill call her later. You call your parents.
Bette: Ill call my mom; Im not quite ready to call my dad yet.

Bette called her mom in Philadelphia.
Bette: Mom? Hi, how are you?
Katherine: Bette, oh its so good to hear from you. How are you?
Bette: Im good mom, are you doing okay?
Katherine: Yes Im fine. Working, same old thing.
Bette: Well what are you doing in two months?
Katherine: No plans that I can think of why?
Bette: I told you about Tina right? Well we are going to have a commitment ceremony in two months, and wed like you to be here and celebrate with us. Ill send you the plane tickets and book the hotel. My treat. Id really love for you to be part of this.

Katherine: Oh Bette Id love to. Im so happy for you, Id like to help. Is there anything I can do?
Bette: Great, Im sure well need all the help we can get. Ill call you later with details.
Katherine: Is your father going to be there?
Bette: I dont know. I havent told him yet. Im not telling him for a few days, gotta work up to it you know?
Katherine: Oh yeah, I know. Laughing.
Bette: I wish you could meet Tina before then.
Katherine: Maybe Ill come out sooner. Let me work on getting Ellen to watch the book store and Ill call you in a few days. Okay? Tell me Bette hows Kit?
Bette: Shes doing good mom, at times. You know Kit. Shes DJ’ing at some clubs here and doing well at it.
Katherine: Tell her hello from me.
Bette: Sure mom, I better go, Ill call you in a few days. I love you.
Katherine: Thank you for calling me Bette. Im so happy for you. I love you.

Bette hung up feeling good. Tina had been the reason Bette and her mom had been getting closer of late. Katherine had always accepted Bettes lifestyle unlike her father, but Katherine had left Melvin for cheating on her and Bette had chosen to stay with him.

So Bette and her mom had drifted apart, but after being around Tina and Maggie, Bette was trying to rebuild their relationship, she wanted a parent that loved her unconditionally and Katherine always had even though Bette never acknowledged it. Her father never encouraged Bette to be close to her mother, or to let her be a mother to her.
Any way things between them were better and better every time they talked.

Tina: Well, what did your mom say?
Bette: She was very happy for me, for us. And guess what? She wants to help to.
Tina laughed and kissed her.
Tina: Well just have to let her. I guess our moms think its as close to a wedding their little girls are going to have. Tina and Bette laughed and hugged.

Bette: T call Vanessa, I know you and I know you need to get it off your mind. Ill stay with you and hold your hand.
Tina; Okay. She took a deep breath and dialed the phone.

Vanessa: Yeah, speak, This is Dr. Marconi.
Tina: Doctor I have this pain in the ***** friend that
Vanessa: Dammit Tina.what the *****. Hello! How are you?
Tina: Good, how are you? Busy as ever?
Vanessa: Yeah, you too?
Tina: As always, my mom said you were trying to get a hold of me, is everything alright?
Vanessa: Do you ever listen to your answering machine?
Tina: I havent yet; Ive been out of town for a few days.
Vanessa: Well, Im coming to LA in a week for a medical conference. So clear your calendar Kennard, so you can show me how to party LA style.

Tina: Youre coming to Los Angeles? When?
Tina looked at Bette with fear in her eyes. Bette squeezed her hand and kissed it.
Tina: Thats great. Well have so much fun. What days?

Bette was looking at her sternly, mouthing the words, tell her.
Vanessa: and I cant wait to meet the man that has gotten you so crazy in love. He must be something for you to claim it forever. You are still in love right?
Tina: Well yes, Van Im still in love, very much so. Its wonderful and I cant wait for you two to meet. But Van theres something I need to tell you. Vanessa this might shock you and Im just going to say it. Im in love, true love, the real deal.
Vanessa: I know Tina, youve been emailing me for months and Ive never known you to feel this way about any one.

Tina: Right, well Van Im in love with a woman.
Vanessa: Youre what? A woman, youre a *****? Have you always? Did you know? Why didnt you tell me?
Tina: Van, Vanessa listen give me a chance to answer your questions.
Bette was rubbing her back; she hated that panicked look on Tinas face.

Tina: Vanessa Im in love with a woman named Bette, youll like her. And no I didnt know Ive never had these feelings until I met her. Its just, it was something I couldnt ignore. Its real, its the greatest. Van please say something.

Vanessa: She turned you into a *****? You play for the other team now?
Tina: laughed. You have such a way with words. Yes she did and Im not sorry, I love her, it is meant to be.
Vanessa: So youre happy?
Tina: Yes, extremely
Vanessa: And you never wanted to have ***** with me?
Tina: No, never even thought about it.
Vanessa: Im insulted, why wouldnt you want me?
Tina: Van, I love you, youre my best friend other than Bette, but Im not attracted to you like that. The only woman I want is Bette.

Bette was smiling, sensing Tinas relief; her friend was alright if she was teasing her.
Vanessa: Im joking TK, Im happy for you and tell this Bette Im going to have to approve of her.
Tina; Van youre the best, I cant wait to see you and for you to meet Bette.

Vanessa: Next Thursday Ill be there and Im staying at the
Tina: cut her off. No youre staying with us. Please?
Vanessa: Ok, well stay up all night and you can explain how you two do it?
Tina; Jeez Marconi, youre a doctor for Christs sake.
Vanessa: So? Ive never had ***** with a woman. I need details. Laughing.
Tina: Ill call you later for your flight info. Okay, bye Van, I love you.
Vanessa: Youre such a *****, one woman not good enough for you? Yeah, TK I love you too. She hung up.

Bette was in the kitchen getting a bottle of water; Tina came up behind her and hugged her.
Tina: Thank god. Bette youll love her, she kind of reminds me of Alice, only not blonde.
Bette: So everything is okay with her?
Tina: Yeah, shes fine with it, shocked but fine.
Bette: Im glad I know how much she means to you.
Tina; Oh by the way, shes coming to LA next Thursday for a medical conference. I told her she could stay with us. Okay?
Bette: Sure, itll give us a chance to get to know each other.

Tina kissed Bette and pushed her up against the kitchen counter.
Tina: Im so relieved, I feel so good now, I want you baby, right here, right now, and you look so ***** and so ***** hot. She kissed Bette deeply
Bette: kissing her back. Well why didnt you say so.

She turned Tina so she was against the counter, she lifted her up onto the counter top, and pulled off her t-shirt, her face was directly in Tinas *****. She nuzzled between them and sighed.
Bette: I want to stay here, right here forever.

Tina pulled her head up and kissed her. Bette lost herself in Tinas kisses, holding her *****, god she loved Tinas *****, so perfect, the right size and shape, they fit in her hands and mouth just as they should and her nipples, god the were simply perfect.

Bette broke the kiss and went back to Tinas ***** sucking, licking, caressing, and teasing her.

Moving one hand down to remove her shorts, Tina lifted her hips to help Bette slide them off. Bette moved down Tinas body with her mouth, her hands still holding her fabulous *****. When her mouth reached its destination she took one hand and parted Tina, she let her tongue delve into Tina.

Her tongue was doing its magic; Tina wrapped her legs around Bette, pulling her closer, her hands entangled in her hair.
