Tinas coming out to her family:

Tina: Mom? Hi, how are you?
Maggie: Im good, just checking in. Our weekly Sunday call.
Tina: Oh yeah, what time is it?
Maggie: Its 6:00 Tina, you were napping? Are you sick? Is some one with you? She asked slyly.
Tina: No Im fine, I just was tired and needed to catch up on sleep.

Bette is laying on her side watching Tina and her finger is tracing down her leg and across her stomach. Tina whispers to her to stop. They giggle.

Maggie: Is there some body else napping?
Tina: Yes, mom, some one is here with me.
Maggie: Tina, the last several times weve talked you have sounded different, happier. I think your in love, are you in love?
Tina: Umm, ……yeah Mom, I am. Im in love.
Bette gasped and kissed Tinas stomach. Tina grabbed Bettes hand and squeezed it. Bette sat up to hold her hand and be supportive.

Maggie: tell me all about it sweetheart.
Tina: Well, uh…mom, Im head over heels in love. We went to Cancun this last weekend, weve been together 8weeks, 3day, and 6hrs. We are going to move in together when we find a place and were planning a future together.
Maggie: Oh, Tina Im so happy for you. So whats he like?
Tina: Mom, Im in love with….a….woman. Mom? Are you there? Bette squeezed her hand and said: its okay talk to her.
Maggie: youre in love with a woman? Youre a *****? Why didnt you tell me?
Tina: Mom, I didnt know I was until I met her. The instant we met I knew. She looked lovingly at Bette. We have this incredible chemistry, Ive never knew this feeling was possible until I met her, physically or emotionally.

Maggie: Tina, its okay, we cant help who we fall in love with, or who we have chemistry with, thats in gods hands, as long as youre happy and she treats you well, Im okay.
Now tell me about her, whats her name? Whats she look like? Whats she do for a living?

Tina: laughing. I love you Mom. Youre so great! Well, her name is Bette Porter and shes beautiful, shes tall, dark hair and big brown eyes. She owns her own art gallery. Shes absolutely wonderful and I know you and Erin will love her.
Maggie: I cant wait to meet her Tina, and Ill tell Erin.
Tina: No, mom let me tell Erin, please. And Im getting you two tickets to fly down in two weeks to see us. I want you to meet as soon as possible, and Bette and I are really busy until then, is that okay?
Maggie: Sure, that sounds good Ill tell work. And Im sure Erin wont mind missing a day of school.
Tina: Ill get the tickets tomorrow and call you with the details.
Maggie: I better go now Tina, I love you and be happy sweety, and call your sister later, right?
Tina: Yes mom, I will, mom thank you for being so understanding and I love you. Bye.

Tina hung up the phone and looked dumb founded at Bette.
Bette: Well, tel me, what did she say?
Tina: She said, if Im happy and if you are treating me like I deserve to be treated, shes happy. Its okay, she cant wait to meet you.
Bette: She was okay with it? Tina, I told you. Shes happy for you?
Tina: Yeah, shes happy for me. Im amazed , its such a relief.
Bette: Im so proud of you T. She kissed and hugged her.
Tina: Now I have to call Erin.

Erin was Tinas little sister, shes 17 years old, very independent and some would call her a rebel. She has her own phone line, so Tina made the call.

Erin: Hello?
Tina: Hey sis, how are you?
Erin: Tina! Hey, nice to hear your voice sis. How have you been?
Tina: Im fine, you sound good, whats new? Hows school?
Erin: Jeez, I hate that GD school, its boring, But Im taking some college art classes I love. Im really into sculpture right now and photography. Are you still curing the munchkins?
Tina: laughing. Yes I am, and I love it.
Erin: laughing. I know you do, it amazes me you look at snotty noses all day and like it. Are you singing at all?
Tina: Some, once in awhile.
Erin: So, mom tells me you have something to tell me.

Tina: *****, shes quick, well Im sending you guys tickets to fly and see me in a couple of weeks, so you can meet someone special in my life.
Erin: Yeah? So who is this someone? Is he cute, is he good in bed? Laughing.
Tina: Well, sis, Im in love. But I needed to tell you…..Erin Im just going to say it…. Im ….in …love,,,,,
Im in love with a woman.
Erin: Thats it? Thats all? So are you happy?
Does she make your heart flutter? Does her kiss make you weak in the knees? If so then it was meant to be.
Tina: Oh god sis, thank you, thank you, for being you.
Thanks for being so open minded. And yes she does make my knees weak and my heart flutter, shes wonderful.
Erin: Is she nice? Will I like her?
Tina: Erin shes beautiful, you too have a lot in common actually, and youll love her. Guess what? She owns a art gallery.
Erin: NO WAY?
Tina: laughing. Yes and she does a lot of photography herself.
Erin: I love her already.
Tina: You two will get along great.
Erin: Tina, be happy, Im happy for you.
Tina: I will, I gotta go sis, but thank you and go tell mom I called so you two can talk about me. I love you Erin. Bye.
Erin: I love you sis, see you in a few weeks. Bye.
Tina looked at Bette.

Tina: I have the best family. She kissed Bette and I have you, I couldnt ask for more.
Bette: Im proud of you baby, I love you.
Tina: Yeah? Show me.
Bette slowly started doing just that.
