Bette said “Tina, why are you in a chair beside the bed? Why didn’t you return to bed with me? Are you mad at me? Do you believe me?”
Tina said “I don’t know what I believe Bette. I am so exhausted. And this is sort of unbelievable if you ask me. I am not sure what I should be feeling right now”.
Bette said “Tina, I am really scared right now. And I am really confused too. I need you Tee. I feel this distance between us and I don’t know how to bridge it. Tina, I don’t have any fucking idea how I could be pregnant. This has got to be a mistake. I didn’t do this to myself!”.
Just then Tina had a flash back thought to Jodie a couple of weeks ago and her being in Bette’s hospital room after her surgery to removed the pins. Bette said that Jodie touched and her later said it hurt. Could Jodie have done this to Bette? Why? Why would she do this?
Bette said “Tina, are you listening to me? Answer me.”
Tina said “I am sorry Bette, what were you saying?”
Bette said “Never mind what I was saying, why do you have a far away look and why do you look like you just put a puzzle together?”
Tina said “Bette, I hate to bring this up, but the evening when Jodie was in your hospital room and you said she touched you. You said it hurt, what did she touch you with? Her hands? Something else? Do you know? Can you remember?”
Bette said “I don’t know Tina, I thought it was her hands, but it hurt more. I was so out of it, I don’t really remember, it is really foggy for me. Are you insinuating what I think you are?”
Tina said “I remember the last time she saw you at the hotel, she asked how you were doing? How you were feeling… and when she left the hotel room she said to me “that you were hers… that she had you…”
Bette started spontaneously crying and said “Holy Shit! Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god, fuck, what if she inseminated me? What if I am pregnant with her baby? Who would she have got sperm from? Oh my god. This cannot be happening to me. I can’t believe this. I can’t keep this. I can’t keep this!”
As Tina started to realize that one of her worst fears was now over that Bette had not slept with a man or planned to get pregnant with Jodie, she felt a sense of relief. She quickly felt anxiety about the situation and how Bette did not report the rape and what did that mean for the future. She could not believe that Bette was pregnant. Her Bette. They had never talked about Bette carrying a baby, it was never part of the plan.
Tina began to regain some of her strength and support and sat on the edge of the bed with Bette and took her hands in her hands. She said “Bette, don’t panic, let’s find out how far along you are and figure out what we are going to do”.
Bette just cried.

wow what a choice to me made… does she keep the baby or abort… but tina needs to confort bette… they need each other more now then ever… do we no where jody got the sperm from… was it tested… safe… i have a feeling tina is going to kick jodies ass… pps
I’m w/ Bette, she can’t keep it. Please let this be a hospital mix up it maybe Jodie paid one of the staff to doctor the lab results. There is no way Bette & Tina need to be saddled w/ a kid after just reconnecting and Bette recovering from her bike injury. This must be a bad dream, hope I wake up soon.
I really think Bette should abort…Who knows what Jodie inseminated her with, disease ridden, whatever..and if she did go through with it, Jodie would certainly claim the child to belong to her and Bette..nothing but disaster. What a sneaky bitch Jodie is.

Glad Tina had the flashback! I hope they find out it was a mix up in the lab and Bette just had an allergic reaction to the meds she was on. I’m not a fan of abortion for any means, but do believe it’s that woman’s right to choose and not the government! PPS
I would recommend abortion without a doubt for this situation. Who knows where she got the sperm, and if the baby is healthy and Bette goes to term will she and Tina be able to raise it as their own? Will Jodi want it? Do they put it up for adoption? It’s in the best interest of the unborn child to never be born than to be born into a life where he was clearly not wanted.
ABORT. ABORT. ABORT!!!!!!! No quetions asked. Gosh, what a mess. God only knows where jodi got the sperm. Bette should ABORT this feotus and forget about it. jodi can’t say anything without giving herself away that she did indeed impregnate Bette. Then she owuld go to jail for rape for sure, which she should. Bette should also report the rape and have the scheming bitch arrested. Then let Tina kick her lowdown ass all the way back to NY. As far as abortion goes, every woman should have the right to make that decision with her doctor. No one else needs to be involved. In this case, Bette should say YES!!!!!!!!!!! as she just told Tina, she can’t have this baby and she shouldn’t be asked to do so. I’m sure the doctor would agree to a very quiet abortion and no one has to know any different. Maybe reporting jodi would not be the answer; just quietly get the abortion and be on their way to healing and get back together and go home to LA. Then if jodi comes around, everybody has permission to kick ass or kill her if need be, that’s all she deserves. Desperate times call for desperate measures which jodi just exhibited. She wanted Bette so badly that she would try anything. Sorry for the long diatribe, just got carried away. Awesome chapter. Thanks for posting. PPS
You have got to make this a nightmare that Bette is having as a way to finally confront what Jodi did to her, and what could have been the consequences of an actual rape by a man, which puts what Jodi did to her on the same level, an act of violation act. Even in FF, we can not take Bette being pregnant this way, and no offense, do we really need a lot more of Jodi in this story. We want our girls, Tina, Bette and Angie happily back together in L.A.
Bette needs to keep the baby. Don’t let any of Jody’s relatives be the donor though.. Maybe Jody went as fa as getting Marcus’s sperm by impersonating Tina, knowing Bette would not deny Angie a brother or sister. This could be a good thing, and top it off with really screwing Jody in the end..

Wow, this is certainly some drama!! At what point are they able to do DNA testing on the fetus? The only way Jodi would know (not 100%, but) with the most certainty that she “had” Bette by her highly criminal actions would be if she implanted B with her own fertilized egg?!?!? I take it back, we’re not dealing with drama here..this is horror!!! PPVS
I agree with cpq that Jodi would have absolutely no claim to this baby. It’s not biologically hers. Even if it turns out that she somehow used one her relatives as a donor, the child is not hers. I would love to see Bette and Tina keep this baby. It’s 100% Bette’s child and if she chooses to have it I’m sure she would make Tina the adoptive parent. What Jodi did was a terrible thing but they can turn this into something incredibly good.

First of all, I don’t see where Jodi has ANY claim on the child at all ( legally, genetically, etc.). If she tried to lay claim to the baby then she would have to reveal her illegal and non concentual act. There is no way that a court would rule that she has any rights here. That being said, I think that Tina should have slapped the taste out of Jodi’s mouth a long time ago. B&T need to take time to realize that they have the upper hand in this situation and not let Jodi’s negativity block their blessings. PPS
