    Black – Chapter. 21

“How is my princess this morning…” Shane asked her daughter. Shane was sipping on her cup of coffee looking at her daughter still with her pajamas on and rubbing her eyes, climbing on the stool in front of the kitchen bar.

    “Good…” Lily said sleepily.

“Yeah… what do you want for breakfast? I’ll cook… pancakes?” Shane asked putting her cup of coffee and placed a kiss on her daughter’s forehead, playing with her long locks.

“Hmm…no thanks, mom… I don’t feel like eating…” Lily said, not in the mood. “What’s wrong baby…” Shane asked her body leaned in on the kitchen table. “Bad dream??” The now worried mother asked.

Lily nodded. “It’s okay Lil… it’s just a bad dream…” Shane moved around the table to hug her daughter. “Yeah… it was just scary…” Lily let out; she let out her hands to hug her mother. Shane hugged Lily and lifted her off the seat and swirled around unexpectedly. “Mum… what are you doing??” Lily asked with a laugh, looking at her mother weirdly.

“I’m just trying cheer my baby girl up… hey, what about that ferries wheel today… huh?” Shane asked Lily who nodded in agreement. “Alright, you go clean your self up and we’ll have a quick breakfast at the Planet… sounds good?” Shane asked.

“Sounds great mum…” Lily said running off to her bedroom. Shane looked at her daughter disappearing into her room, thinking what she would do without her.

Shane turned around to look at her phone buzzing. She walked over to the coffee table were it’s located and grabbed it without looking at the caller ID.

    “Hello…” said Shane.

“Hey Shane…” The very familiar voice said.

“Hi… Carmen?… Uhm, How are you?” Shane asked.

“I’m good… thanks… listen, I was wondering to go out with Lily today… I’m just missing my little baby…” Carmen asked through the phone.

“Oh okay… well, uhm… uhh, you know I kinda already promised Lil to get on that Ferries wheel with her today… so uhm…” Shane started.

“You… on a Ferries wheel?… Shane, you hate heights…” Carmen stated and laughed at what she heard.

    1. Holy crap!I can’t believe Carmen would drive like that with her daughter in the car…but then again she did leave her home alone. Wow, I definitely didn’t see that coming. Great job….more soon please!

    2. Wow…I have missed this story so much. I just read the last three updates. Good to see Shane and Alice are on speaking terms. But poor Shane…I hope Lily and Carmen will survive! Btw, I love your take on Dana. She reminds me of the goofy, naive and insecure Dana of S1. :D
