Alice: not holding back her news about Tina’s call “T called yesterday and we had a lengthy conversation about you.”
Bette: mmm this is interesting “Alice please continue.”
Alice: “Ok I’ll give the condensed version. Tina saw you and Audrey at the restaurant last Friday and wanted to know who the attractive blond was.” “I told her what little I know and suggested she talk to you.”
Bette: raising her eye brows “I didn’t see her, what was her reaction to Audrey? You did tell T that we were just friends?” hopping Alice didn’t embellish the relationship
Alice: “It seemed like Tina wanted to know if you were dating, Bette this could be good.”
Bette: “Alice I would be happy if we could at least friends.”
Alice: ” Bette that is exactly what I told her.. she needed to get her answers about Audrey from you and for Angie’s sake a friendship is essential.”
Bette: thinking this is good news “Thanks Alice maybe she with take your advice to heart, I sure hope so.”
Alice: “Well that’s the short version.. I’ll catch up with you later with more details, I better get back to work, talk to you later.”
Bette: “Thanks for calling have a good Monday.”
Bette: dialing the phone to Foxworthy office “Hi this is Bette Porter, my next appointment isn’t for two weeks, I would like to know if I can schedule an appointment this week?”
Assistant Maggy: “Hello Bette, let me look” clicking the key board “We might have a cancellation this Thursday in the afternoon.”
Bette: “Maggy that will work for me please call my gallery if the time becomes available, I will leave that afternoon open.”
Maggy: “I will confirm that would be taking the appointment and call you later this week, thanks for calling Bette.”
Tuesday noon at Tina’s work
Bette pulls the Saab into a parking spot, unloads all Angie’s bags and lifts her into her arms smiling
Bette: with a quiet voice “Our visit is almost over.” she gives her a big kiss and heads into the center.
Bette: “Hello Rosa I’m here to drop Angie off, should I put her in the day care area?” knowing Tina is usually busy
Rosa: “Hi Bette, no Tina wanted to know when you got here let me ring her.”
Rosa: over the intercom phone “Tina Bette and Angie are here.”
Tina: “Thanks Rosa please tell Bette I will be right out.”
Rosa: “Tina will be right with you please have a seat.”

great chapter:)
im glad Tina is coming to her right sense..they need to start talking..great chappy post soon thanks :o)
Ha, always knew Tina always felt it was okay for her to be seeing othe people but not Bette. Good dose of reality just might bring her around. So glad Bette was up front with Audrey. Audrey’s idea sounds like a plan, especially if it stays truly platonic, hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
Damn this is good and can’t wait to see what Tina want to want to talk to Bette about. Post soon please, thanks!
Let them start being friends not just for Angie but for their own sake. Thanks for posting.
