Alice was sitting at the table shooting evil glances at Dana and Shane every now and then. She had just pitched them the idea of competing against Brian Kinney and co in the fundraiser but Shane and Dana were having doubts. After explaining to them how the fundraiser worked and how many different people would be competing in the event Shane and Dana thought it might be a little out of their league. Alice on the other hand thought it was a brilliant plan and besides, she desperately wanted to kick Kinneys *****.

Alice glared at Dana who had a knowing smile. On the way over to the Planet where she was meeting the girls for lunch Alice had told Dana a little bit about Mr. Kinney and how much she really wanted to pound him into the ground. Needless to say, Alice was on a mission. Shane just leaned back and shook her head.

Alice just shrugged. True she had no idea what the events were or even how many people were really competing in this thing. But what she did know is that she never backs down from a challenge and right now she was facing one in the form of a really hot but really ***** guy from the east coast.

Bette and Tina were just getting to the table both with coffees in hand. Alice turned to Bette for support in the matter at hand and she hoped that Bette had already sold Tina on the idea.

About us entering the fundraiser.
Well, honestly I think it is a good idea. GLAAD is hosting the event and they are donating all profits to AIDS research and setting up funding for families with AIDS patients. I think its a good, charitable deed and I think any involvement on our part would be a huge philanthropic gesture by both the city and the ***** communities within it.

Everyone looked at Bette with raised eyebrows. She sounded like she was trying to pitch her idea to her board of directors or something. Tina just shook her head and smiled.

Well I also think its a great idea Al. We would be doing it for a good cause and having fun at the same time.

Alice just shot the other two a look as if to say, come on and Shane finally sighed and nodded yes while Dana still looked skeptical.

Alice rolled her eyes while Dana just shook her head. Tina looked back and forth between the two and had a confused look on her face.

Alice just got a taste of her own medicine this morning thats all. Brian Kinney turned out to be much different than she expected and now shes all *****-bent on showing him up

Everyone laughed as Alice pouted but deep down she knew they were right. They were supposed to meet the boys later that night and she already had a feeling that Brian was going to be worse than he was this morning.

She couldnt wait.

Later that night as the girls got ready to meet the fab five for dinner Bette made Alice swear to tone it down and not make a fool of herself over dinner. Lindsay had told her that Brian could be difficult and if he knows that hes under your skinwell lets just say that he keeps on digging. As they arrived at the hotel the five ladies were dressed to the tee and Bette had to admit that Tina had never looked sexier. Dana was looking mighty fine herself in a pair of dress slacks and a simple white tank top and Alice and Shane were each ready for a night on the town. For some reason the girls felt like they needed to make a really good impression on the guys so they had all agreed to go all out for dinner, even if it probably wouldnt have mattered if theyd shown up in trash bags. Oh well.

They went to the restaurant where the guys were already seated and when they spotted each other the guys all stood up and introduced themselves to Shane, Dana and Tina. Bette noticed that Brian noticed Tina and she had to do a double take to make sure that she wasnt seeing things. She raised an eyebrow at his behavior but she didnt make mention of it because she didnt want to jump to conclusions. Everyone sat down and within minutes all ten of them were engaged in conversation as if they were old friends who hadnt seen each other in years. Michael and Dana were talking about sports and Dana was telling him about her tennis career, and Shane and Teddy were talking about old habits which died hard, metaphorically of course. Bette was talking to Emmett about Pittsburg and she walked him down her memory lane about places she used to visit when she was growing up while Tina and Alice were talking to Brian and Justin about the fundraiser. Tina was asking a lot of questions about the fundraiser and how it was started and the specifics of it, and Justin seemed to mirror her enthusiasm about the fundraiser. Brian and Alice were adding small tidbits to the conversation but neither was saying too much. Finally Alice gave in and opened the communication lines with the enemy.

Brian smirked his famous smirk and Alice felt her blood boil. She hated when she didnt know what was going on and she hated that Brian knew something about her friend that she didnt know. She raised an eyebrow at him.

Alice just shook her head. She could feel Brian getting under her skin again so she decided to change the subject. She tried to turn the conversation towards Pittsburg and things like that but Brian didnt let her off the hook so easily. He leaned forward and looked her in the eye.

Alice just sat there looking pissed. Not only had she met her match and terribly disliked him, but she had been tricked into doing a stupid fundraiser just to spite him! Thats itfor realhes going down Alice just smiled at Brian and let her thoughts of beating them run around in her head making her happy for the moment. She knew that this fundraiser was going to be a huge deal and at the end she just hoped that her and the family would be victorious. Good cause or not, one thing was for clear. They had to win
