Tina couldn’t believe this was happening. How was it even
possible that Helena Peabody was standing in front of her?
Helena: My god Tina. It has been a long time.
Tina: Yeah it has.
Bette: Excuse me, hi. Is anyone gonna tell me what’s
happening here?
Helena: Tina and I are old friends.
Tina bowed her head.
Bette: I get that but HOW do you know each other?
Helena: We had a little tryst didn’t we?
Tina: No we didn’t.
Helena: Oh Tina, don’t be shy.
Bette shot a look of contempt around the room unsure who she
wanted to direct it towards.
Tina: Helena how do you know Bette?
Helena: My mother is 2nd producer of the show.
Tina: I thought she stuck to art mainly.
Helena: She feels the theater is living and breathing art.
Tina: OK. But what are YOU doing here with Bette?
Helena: I just came to wish her good luck. I’ve been a fan
of hers for a long time..
Tina smirked.
Tina: I’m sure you are.
Bette: Am I missing something here?
Helena: Nothing to concern yourself with right now. You just
concentrate on that acceptance speech of yours.
Bette: I don’t even know that I’ll win Helena.
Helena grinned her infamous grin.
Helena: You’ll win. Trust me.
Tina: What did you do? Bribe them too?
Bette: Are you implying that I would need the judges to be
bribed in order to win?
Tina: No, Bette, not at all it’s just Helena just likes to
secure her bets.
Bette: Is that true?
Helena: whatever it takes. You deserve to win and I am
seeing to it that you do.
Bette: I don’t understand. How do you two know each other
REALLY?
Helena: Well you see a while back I decided to run a grant
program to young writers.
Miss Kennard
applied and after much judging and deliberating she won. I went to meet her and
things went a little farther than they should have.
Tina: You threw yourself on me!!
Helena: Don’t be so dramatic Tina darling, it isn’t
becoming.
Bette: What? I am so lost!
Tina: She told me I won the grant and they would agree to
produce a small production of one of my shows. When Helena came to give me the
award she basically said she would shoot my career to the top if I …

Great chapter. Hate Helena. I don’t know about everyone else but I want B and T together. I do like the drama but I also want them together. I don’t want B sleeping with anyone else. lol I wouldn’t worry about the stars rating, you are doing a great job. Take it where you want but don’t break our hearts lol. Love it as always.
Hee, I’m one of those who likes Bette with more of an edge, if you will. You’ll never be able to please everyone though, but I trust that you’ll do beautifully no matter which direction you go. You’ve done a great job so far.

I’d rather not influence wherever it is you are going to take this story, but I will promise you that as long as you write I will read. I’m partial to bette and Tina together, but if the world were perfect there’d be nothing to write or read about, so take it where the characters lead you because God knows I’ll follow.

Of course we want Bette and Tina together…but, alittle drama…which you are so good at, always makes the story more fun!! I say, don’t pay attention to us so much…write what you want to write. It is your story, your imagination that hooked us all in the first place!!
Sweety, we all want BnT together. However, a smoothe road to that union isn’t realistic. No relationship is. So, even though I don’t really like influencing a writer’s craft, you did ask. I’d say keep them apart intimately a bit longer. The kissing’s fine but no more. B has issues to work on with respect to being public with T….she can’t hide every time they’re in public. So bring that to the foreground for a bit. Then after TnB have crossed that hurdle and are somewhat better established create a little drama with HELLZZZZZZ or even bring pops back in the pic. That ought to send B into an emotional tailspin. (Now don’t get me wrong, I don’t like to see Bette suffer; though she does it so well, but their make-ups are always so much more fun!!!)
I love B&T together…and i love drama. It’s a great story and you write what YOU want, what is in your heart and mind. I as a faithful reader will always read and I always give you 5 stars. btw another great chapter!!
yeah, you gotta halfway ignore the comments right? there are lots of B&T stories but not nearly so many that keep the drama going, along with the love. I’ll bet you get that mix just right when you follow your own instincts. i for one get totally bored by stories where there’s no TENSION, just lovey-dovey stuff. so i think it’s cute that they can’t resist each other, but that doesn’t mean everything’s resolved. right?

Please take the direction that you feel comfotable with as what i love about this story is that i have not seen a few twists coming and basically i love that about your writing. Yes want B&T to end up together but also so loved the kiss between Alice and Bette what a surprise. Write it and i will read it
i say i like anything you write….remember if they are together then everyone is happy…and where is the drama in that…but give Helena a dose of her own bitchiness…she needs someone to put her in her place…keep em coming…i’m on the edge of me seat.

If I’ve posted comments on this story before, I don’t remember (age does that to you!)but, here is my 2 cents (and waiting for change) Sweetie, you are doing a great job. Don’t listen to us because if we could write, we would be doing our own story. This is your creation, take it in the direction you want to see it go. I will keep on reading, as long as you choose to keep on writing. There have been times when I have picked up a book, got involved with the characters, hated the direction it was going in but, couldn’t put the book down because it was sooooo good. As for me, you are writing that “good book” so, follow your instincts. Thank you for your efforts….we appreciate your talent.
Your story is great Flair. This is an alternate universe of your creation, so don’t worry about ratings or others comments. Write what feels true and important to say to you as an artist. I am in for the ride no matter what. :)

You should always get 5 stars! Everyone loves your story. Whatever you write i will read. You do such a fantastic job. I love drama and i love B&T! As long as they are in scenes together I do not care.
Don’t worry about the stars some people will purposely rate low. Take the story in whatever direction you want. We may moan but we will keep reading.

Great update! As long as B&T are together in the end I don’t care how much drama there is because I think some is necessary to maintain interest in the story and it adds suspense to it. I really like where you’re going with it so I think you’re doing just fine. It’s hard to please everyone, but the only person who truly has to be satisfied with your work is yourself. Keep up the good work because this is a great story- I love it! Oh and I might be at pride but it depends if I can get my gay guy friend to come with me- I’m lucky that he’s going to a gay club with me tonight for my birthday lol

I think this friendship thing could work – they could vacillate between being friends and being lovers – I think it’s normal. And I think we vacillate between rooting for Bette and rooting for Alice to win Tina’s heart. It’s the nature of the fanfic fanatic beast!
