    Chapter 10

     

    Finally Bette was on her way to the Planet. So she sped a little.

     

    What good would it do, to end up as roadkill ? IV scolded.

     

    You’re right. Bette thought. But I’m already late. … And truth to be told, I don’t know what to expect.

     

    My, my, we’re eager, I see. But you told her you could be late. So, do us a favor and slow down.

     

    If there wasn’t so much going on now, I really should see a shrink. This ongoing debate with you can’t be healthy. With that Bette throttled the motor.

    Helena shot Alice a murderous glance.

     

    “What is going on here ?” Kit couldn’t contain her curiosity any longer.

     

    Unbeknownst to any of them, Jenny had entered the Planet and now came up behind Alice. She had also heard Alice’s comment and was looking questioningly at Helena.

     

    “Great, just great.” Helena threw her hands in the air and then hid her face in her hands.

     

    Alice was a little ashamed, but not too much to come up with an answer. “Why can one not have a private conversation here ?”

     

    “Private conversation ? Sure you can have one, but since when do you value privacy ?” Jenny kidded her.

     

    “And if you want to have privacy, why don’t you just go home ?” Kit supplemented.

     

    Helena’s head came back up. “It’s okay, Alice. I’ll live. …” And was saved by the bell, so to speak, because her cell rang.

     

    She took it, looked at the id and grimaced. “Hello, mother !”

     

    The others took a seat at the table and looked expectantly at Alice, who just shrugged.

     

    “Yes, mother, I’m fine. No, thank you, but I have a job ! …  No further need to look after me. .. Ah, come on….” Helena was getting angry. “No, I have no time for your games anymore. I’ll see my kids whenever I can and you know that !” With that she just ended the call.

     

    “I can’t fucking believe her !” Helena was frustrated.

     

    “What’s with the ‘mother’-reference, Hel ?” Alice wanted to know.

When we had our dog done the Vet said keep he quite for about 4 days,when we wwere wait for him they brought him out he broke loose jumped the desk into our arms and licked our face. So much for keeping him quite. So the bathroom is the meeting place. Glad that Helena did listen to Bette Now go to Bettes house an seal the deal. thanks
