    More Blue and a little loving

    Chapter 14

     

    Blue woke up with a start. The bright lights disturbed his eyes. He had dreamt about his new human. She was petting him, talking to him and he felt quite cozy with her.

     

    But the voices he was hearing now, he couldn’t define. So he tried to get up but a hand held him in place.

     

    “Whoa, boy, no falling off the table here.” Nancy crooned.

     

    She pressed a button and Dr. Sullivan came in.

     

    “Looks like he came through with flying colours. Now we can call.” She smiled gently down at him. “So, Mr. Porter, let’s have another look.”

     

    Another thorough examination told her he was fine and as Nancy left the room she took her cell.

     

    * * *

     

    Shane grabbed her phone and flipped it open, not recognizing the id.

     

    “McCutcheon ?”

     

    “Hey, Dr. Sullivan.” She grinned. “Okay… April is it. … How is he ? … Great, Bette’ll be glad to hear that ! … Yeah, I’m relieved too. … So, when do you think I can come and get him ?”

     

    Alice and Jenny looked at her expectantly.

     

    Shane grinned at a remark April made. “Yes, no change of plans. It’ll be me. … Yes, that’s good. I’ll be there then. Okay, bye for now.”

     

    She closed the phone and shrugged at the other two. “At least two more hours. She just examined him again and won’t hand him over until he is fully awake and ready.”

     

    “Seems like she is caring a great deal for her little patients.” Jenny observed.

     

    “Yes, I got that impression too. And with talking to the breeder on Bette’s behalf, I think we found a good one here.” Shane answered.

     

    “Soooo, Shane, should we escort you ?” Alice wanted to know.

     

    “Oh no, Alice ! I can manage fine on my own.” Shane grinned.

     

    Alice and Jenny snickered.

     

    “Hey, take your minds out of the gutter. I just meant, he would be overwhelmed with more people than he already knows. It won’t be easy for him as it is. You’ll see him this evening.” Shane explained.

     

    “That sounds reasonable.” Jenny laughed. “And I have to go to the bank now, to see into our options. Alice, you with me ?”

    1. Well well well…seems like everyone is waiting to meet “Blue” where is Helena’s puppy? How long does Helena & Bette stay at Casa Del Mar? Cause I hang for too much longer with my credit card this place is pricey…lol. Where is the drama? When will Tina make her debut?

    3. well sky, I certainly want to help manage the cost of the hotel room..if you would like to stay longer, the next while is on me!! We can stay there enjoying ourselves while everyone else is meeting Blue, who by the way is not going to be sociable, especially with strangers, he just had surgery!! They are not thinking..Bette and Shane are not thinking….gee I wonder WHY?? The drama will come, Tina’s wrath shall be felt, the puppy will be adorable! Kijuma..great shout out to me home…

    4. hey kijuma I still like your story and Su is right the cat won’t socialize when he just came out f surgery, the only thing he would want is to be in quiet safe place. And don’t listen to Sky don’t bring Tina in she’s trouble LOL. Sorry Sky you know I love ya don’t ya hahahahah

    5. He is going to be a mad little fellow when he realizes what has happen to him. Plus to many people around. His Mistress is out getting laid and he isnt feel well. Tina should be coming into the picture soon. thanks

    6. Belena the wicked laugh is scaring me…I scare easily. Is this a scary love you have for me? Should I be afraid? Blue is gonna turn on all of those people ohh-ing and aww-ing over him…will he attack? Hmmm? MUWAAHHAA! *ear to the wall* Oh lord Susannah I think Bette & Helena are at it again.

    7. sky, never fear, belena can’t scare ya cos we are in the gorgeous hotel room!! Lord have mercy, having to listen to Bette and Helena at it again is starting to give me ideas…sky???

    9. well, sky, that sounds right and proper..and did I tell you I like a girl when her southern accent kicks in??? Maybe we should have our wine on the balcony to enjoy our lovely view, and then we will have a round of twister!

    10. Yeah Blue is coming home. It’s just so cute that Blue was dreaming about his owner petting him…….awww! Do cats dream? Anyway, everyone is so excited about meeting Blue and then they get to drop the news to Bette about buying her house….how exciting; post soon please.
