Chapter 16 

Tina arrived at her apartment and Henry just nodded in her direction.

“Henry, I’ll call later, okay ?” She smiled at him and bent for a kiss.

Giving him more than she cared for at the moment, but inside she knew she had to bite this bullet to have some peace and quiet for now.

He got Angelica out of her carseat and handed her over to her mother.

“Bye, Sweety.” He kissed Angelica’s head and suddenly Tina felt like a dork.

He is a nice enough man. She thought. But after today I really have to think things over.

She kissed him again, waved to Mikey and vanished into the complex.

At arriving she remembered the groceries were at Henry’s and she groaned. They had planned a family weekend at his house at therefore shopped for it. Now she had to go out again, because her apartment just held the basic, or change her decision about staying home or at Henry’s.

First things first. The train of thought continued. A bottle for Angie, order some pizza for myself and then put the little one down for her much needed nap. … And a nice hot shower. Came as an afterthought.

Aaah… freedom.

Alice, Jenny and Shane had a grand time making plans for the house until Shane’s phone called for her attention again.

“Hey, April!” She smiled. “Yeah ? That’s great. I’ll come over then. See you soon.”

She looked ad Alice and Jenny and grinned. “Okay, I’m gonna get him and bring him home. I’ll call Bette and we’ll see you two later.”

Spoke it and was out off the house in a hurry.

Shane’s car was just out of the driveway as Jenny said, “I don’t know, Al, I don’t think it would be good for the cat if we hang out here. I mean, he just had major surgery and…”

“I think that’s very consoderate from you. Let’s go over to your house and wait. Maybe we can look for some information on the Internet. Wait, I’ve another idea. Let’s go to the bookstore and see if we can find something for Bette about… what are they called again… ?”
