So Bette, are you liking L.A? Asked tina shily, trying to break the silence that had surrounded her and Bette for the past five minutes

Yes, very much actually Bette answered with a smile that melted Tinas heart.

Tina couldnt get over how truly beautiful this woman was, how incredible ***** and cute, yet confident and strong she could be at the same time.

The weather here is simply marvellous Added Bette looking out through the window And Ive met this amazing group of women today, that made this new city feel just like home She smiled again. Again, Tinas heart melted

Its good to know we didnt freaked you out by thinking your son was your boyfriend and all that Tina said.

Oh, dont worry about that. I have to admit, it was kind of crazy, but fun crazy Bette replied And since he dosent look like me at all its understandable that you failed to see the family resemblance

So he looks more like is father? Tina asked

Oh yes, hes exactly like is father when he was his age Bette answered wistfuly and turned her gaze to the window.

Bette are you okay? Asked Tina who seemed genuinely concerned by Bettes sudden change of mood.

What? Oh yeah, Im fine Tina, Im sorry. I just…I got lost in my thoughts for one second Answered Bette feeling strangely comforted by Tinas concern, and by the smile she was giving to Bette in that precise moment.

Is it about Williams father? Asked tina, inmediately feeling nosy and out of her place Im sorry… is none of my business really She stammered

Tina, its okay. Dont worry Bette said softly, trying to relax Tina Actually, I was thinking about Wills father. But I really dont want to talk about it She said wearily.

Truth be told, Bette did want to talk about it. She needed so desperately someone who would listen to her. Everything that had happened lately was still so fresh, it hurted so much.
She wanted to tell everything to Tina, the true reason behind her coming to L.A, all the awful and unexpected things that had turned her whole life upside-down in just two months.
She felt as though she could tell everything to Tina, like she had known this woman for the longest time, as though she would really understand. She felt maybe Tina could even make it all better.
She wanted to scream, to cry. But she did nothing of this. She smiled, as if to say to herself Im okay, everything is fine, Im under control and said :

And what about you Tina, have you been living in L.A for long?

Uh, let me think…yeah, about ten years in L.A, and five here in West Hollywood She answered.

Wow, thats a long time Replied Bette Youre truly an L.A girl

I guess I am Tina chuckled.

Another round of silence surrounded them. Now, it was Tinas turn to be lost in her thoughts.
Bette Porter was simply driving her crazy. She wanted her, she wanted her so much that it hurted. But it wasnt only lust. There was something else, something that made her feel all warm and fuzzy inside when she looked into Bettes beautiful brown eyes. There was something that made her want to know everything there was to know about Bette.
Besides, she felt strangely safe with Bette. As if she had found home, as though she had found someone she could belong to.
To tell the truth, this terrified her . How could she feel this strongly about this woman she barely knew?. Besides, she didnt even knew if Bette was *****. What if she took a chance on her and ended up with her heart ripped apart?
She had to know if Bette Porter was *****. Now.
The fact was that Tina, who usually had all the smooth tactics, charming manners and could seduce any woman she wanted to, was now as clueless as Dana. So, after a rather long internal debate she managed to Babble:

Bette was stupefied. She couldnt belive Tina had just asked that Oh no, for Gods sake! Does this woman have no perception at all? Does she really think I am straight? Have I been flirting with a wall for the past half an hour? She thought Ok, Tina Kennard, I think Im going to have some fun with you

Oh, yes She said as she flashed one of her thousand-watt smile He hates every man I bring home. Luckily he never gets the chance to hate them for too long

Tina was absolutely devastated. Nevertheless, she was managing to appear somewhat cool and unafected by what Bette was saying.

I tink I must have some sort of pathological men addiction Bette chuckled staring at Tina, waiting for her reaction.

Oh, er, um… mumbled Tina looking much as a five-year old whose puppy had just been ran over by a truck.

Jesus! Tina Kennard, you are just too cute! Bette thought as she laughed silently at Tinas reaction And too hot also
