Tina got a call from the doorman. The deliveries of the purchase had arrived.  Tina asked that they be brought on up.  Tina then started to search for charities to come and pick up the boxes of clothes, toys and games they had packed. She found one who could pick it up at 6:00 am next morning from her apartment building. She had given an estimate that there would be 20 to 25 boxes of goods. The charity seemed grateful and said their truck would be there the next morning.

The doorman knocked on the service door on the 7^th floor. It was just off the children’s lounge. Tina let him in. There were two of them. One had some boxes on some hand trucks and the other had a clothing rack stacked with packages and things to bring in.

Doorman:  There at least this much or more downstairs.

Tina:  Okay I have arranged for the Harlem Ministries to come and pick up the charity goods tomorrow morning early. They are in these boxes here.  Why don’t you take a couple of loads down to the storage room and save yourselves some steps?

Doorman:  That’s a good idea. Sam let’s load these boxes up and take them down.

The second load came up about 20 minutes later and included the boxes and shipping supplies from the office store.  The two doormen took another load down to the store room.  Tina informed them that she expects a couple of pizzas in an hour or so. She gave them a tip to give the pizza man and then gave them both a twenty for bringing up the delivery.  They were very pleased.  They would be back to clear out the charity boxes at two.

By the time Tina got back to the room, Angie had finished sorting through the clothes for the first run. She had two sets of clothes. Those going to LA and those going to New Haven. There were more charity clothes on the bed. Tina asked that Angie start through the bathroom to sort through those things. She had a couple of garbage bags ready as that which was not going to New Haven would probably be thrown away.

Angie was amazed at the amount of half used lip sticks and almost empty eye shadow which she had in the drawers. She also amazed at the worn-out brushes and pencils and just pure junk she had allow to accumulate. She was busy throwing things away and apologizing to Tina for allowing things to accumulate that she should have thrown away years ago.  Tina laughed. She knew that her drawers would be pretty much in the same condition.  Bette’s was more organized but she too would have some to throw away as well. Tina went back to clear the bed one more time.
