Chapter 23 – Please Kiss Me
Dana looked at Tina and smiled. When her friend wanted something, she stopped at nothing to get it. She couldn’t believe how taken Tina was with this mystery woman. Out of all of the men Dana had witnessed Tina date since they worked together, she could not remember a time that her friend had been so excited about a potential love interest. It was refreshing to Dana that Tina seemed to have been so comfortable with her obvious attraction to another female.
They both turned their attention back to the band. For the first time, Dana took a long, hard look at the rhythm guitar player. Alice had her eyes closed and was bobbing her head in time with the soft melody that she strummed. A small smile was etched across her lips.
She’s kinda cute, Dana thought.

Santa Monica Blvd.
With her blinker clicking, Bette fishtailed around the corner of the side street where the entrance of the Planet parking lot was, causing her brakes to squeal loudly.
Quickly down-shifting the gear, she gently maneuvered her CTS-V into the driveway and pulled up to the spot that had been roped off for her.
Throwing it into neutral and smashing down the e-brake, she jumped out and hurried to remove the cone that held the caution tape around her spot.
Running back to the open driver side door, she released the e-brake, popped the clutch, and rolled into the spot.
Before hopping out of the car again, she checked her appearance in the visor mirror. She smiled confidently and winked at herself. She climbed out of the front seat and took a deep breath in order to calm the nerves that had already begun playing tricks on her insides.
She had made it to the Planet in record time from the office on a Friday night with the streets of Hollywood still peppered with moderate traffic. And now she was going inside to finally seek out the kiss she had been deprived of receiving the Friday before.
Still dressed in her black business suit with the white pinstripes, her Marc Jacobs pumps clicked on the asphalt as she walked towards the entrance of the restaurant.
As she turned the corner of the sidewalk, she saw Nona coming from the opposite side of Santa Monica.

What a hot slow dance, what a kiss! Finally the wait is over. That should be enough to tide me over until tomorrow. It’s too late to continue with the next chapter.
Thanks for posting, MeLL
