“Your home?”
“As long as I take care of this place, I will consider it to be my home …and in my home there is no room for little princesses like you, who want to do nothing else but lounge and laze all day long!”
“How dare you talk to me that way?” Tina demanded although she had not meant it to sound that way she came across as positively regal.
Bette burst out laughing clearly unimpressed.
“Come on,” she said in a much calmer way this time, a broad smile on her face which reached all the way to her eyes. “Try and get up.”
Reluctantly and eyeing her host suspiciously, Tina swung her legs and put both her feet on the floor. She was relieved to notice that the t-shirt she was wearing did cover her to mid-thigh. She took the extended hand offered to her.
It was warm and strong and calloused, something that Tina had never come across even amongst the men she frequented in her sheltered entourage. Bette very obviously was used to manual labour and this whole fact was reflected in her frame and now in the hand she was holding.
“Try and put most of your weight on your injured leg.”
“I can’t”
“Oh please, quit behaving like a baby…”
Tina clenched her teeth at the remark but decided to ignore it and Bette. She straightened up fully happy to discover that her ankle was not as painful this morning as it had been the night before.
“We’ll ice your foot in some cold water for a little while and then I’ll redo the bandage.”
“I can do it myself.”
“Out of the question!” Bette exclaimed mockingly horrified, “What if daddy finds out I have not been taking care of you.”
Tina stopped in her careful steps. She looked at Bette with evident irritation.
“Why do you do that? Why are you always so cynical? You don’t know me and yet you feel like you can make unpleasant remarks about me and my father? You know what my father thinks? He thinks that people like you who criticise everything and everyone are the worst snobs…”
She stopped talking bracing herself for another angry tirade from her host or a telling to of how much she was not welcomed in the brunette’s surrounding but she was met with a curious look.

Another great chapter I was wondering why bette was so angry and then at the end she seemed to soften up a bit looking forward to the next chapter so pps.

Great chapter my friend…Love Bettes teasing of poor Tina…Tina biting back at Bette Tinas surprise and indignation at the fact that Bette had dressed her…But then enjoyed Bettes gentleness in tending to her injured foot..Tina is definitely interested in the fact and obviously pleased that Bette prefers ladies.They seem to have a shared interest to in house improvement and interior design…I look forward to the atmosphere thawing between the two as they get to know one another more…Bring on the next chapter A sap..Loving it Kins…Cxx

I love these full integration of pure provocation they have
outra.Acredito with this form of treatment Bette
should be directed to Tina is by having your heart broken due
a loving disappointment, and suddenly falls by parachute in his
port, this lovely blonde with angel face who came to shake her
emotions she certainly did not want to feel.
I just can not explain how Tina’s father does not care about
the fact that your daughter to be with stranger.

Your Bette is a ‘perfect’ stranger :)
Your stories always have a tangential entry. Never full on allowing the reader to conjure up many different scenarios, never quite open and direct. Then suddenly, the “Aha !” moment. You’re very skillful.
Love all your stories kins (especially Bette as a vet in Savannah) and am loving this one!
Lovely descriptive paragraphs of the house and surroundings, I had to put a jumper on to combat the cold from the snow!
Looking forward to Bette’s back story and the blossoming relationship so please post another chapter soon.
ok I get the feeling that Bette is piloar ijs…seriously why is she so mean to poor ole Tina and what the hell is it that she does? and when will they hold each other at night…ok that’s was a question for my own pleasure but seriously whats’ going on with Bette?
