    Soon, a trio of shirtless guys began to dance next to them, and one of them exclaimed over the music, “that playlist is gay as fuck!” to raised eyebrows from Diane and Jules.  He put one hand up, and Jules slapped him a high five, figuring out what he’d just said was a compliment. Another

    Another asked, “Do you let your bar out for parties?” shouting over the bass-line of the new song that was mixed in.

    Jules nodded, “We could.”

    The third guy chimed in, “We’ll make it worth your while if you let us hold a party there.  We’ve got some gold traders and others in that line coming in for a meeting in New York in a few weeks, and it would blow their minds if we hold our dinner at your club, and segue into a party right after.  We’ve never done something like that.  They’re used to staid surroundings … like the Waldorf, etc.”

    Diane smiled at their enthusiasm, then asked, “What about the food?”

    The man who’d exclaimed about the playlist interjected, “I like the food in the Play Room.  I know the chef … Lara, right?”

    Jules and Diane nodded, surprised that he knew.

    “Yeah, she used to be my favorite chef over at the Madison, but she left, and when I tasted the food in your bar last weekend, I just knew it was her cooking.”

    Jules smiled.  She pulled out a few business cards and gave the men one each, shouting, “Okay.  Let’s set it up!”

    “Awesome,” one of them said, tucking her business card into a hidden pocket of his board shorts.  “I’m John, by the way.  And this is Thad and Sam.”  He gave Jules his business card.  Meanwhile, Diane and Jules spied Bette and Tina waving at them, motioning to ask them to come over.  They waved back.

    “We gotta go,” Jules began to explain.

    Two of the men looked in the direction Jules and Diane were looking at and saw Bette and Tina.

    “Think they can come to the party?” they asked.

    Jules and Diane looked at each other, smiled, and shrugged.  “We’ll mention it.”

    “Awesome!  That party will rock, I just know it!” John exclaimed, excitedly.  “We’re calling you first thing on Tuesday, alright?”

    4. I may be wrong, but it feels like you may be setting up the story for some drama with Dianne and Jules…. (at the bar with the guys and the party).
      And the way you ended here … yes it implies “sexy time” ……… BUT…….

      • Yes, you will see chapters soon. Just an insane travel schedule right now (or for much of the year so far, actually), from Acapulco to Beijing, Berlin to Colombo — crazy. There was a slight pause for Memorial Day, but otherwise…. Have not meant to keep readers hanging, and am going to post ASAP. I really like how the outline of this book is working out, so please let me know what you all think as the rest of the book unfolds. Thanks!

          I love to read a good book as long as it is entertaining. I see you are introducing two more new characters Diane and Jules into this new series I hope Bette and Tina aren’t fading into the background… Maybe Logan steps in uses Diane to uncover the mysterious guy who tried to hurt Bette and Tina? Finally my thought is persuading Tom to making a contribution by adding a fourth member to their family :)

    8. I love it when Bette and Tina go to these epic parties. PPS I want to see Tina’s surprise. I have a feeling it will greatly aid in Bette’s healing process.
