Chris’s day Ch.1
It was senior year. Christina awoke early. She had been looking forward to this day for some time. She was conviced that it was going to be quite an eventful year. She planned to make the best of it. Christina walked to the bathroom and turned on the shower. Her excitment was hard to contain. This was the year that would decide her fate in the future. She undressed and stepped into the shower. She let the water stream down her tanned body. She washed light brown shoulder length hair. As she started to lather her body her thoughts wandered to her boyfriend. Her and James had been seeing each other for 2 years. They really hadn’t talked to one another over summer break. She had been busy working and he was occuppied with training for football. She wasn’t sure why they were still together, but Christina needed to have a boyfriend. Nobody could know what she really wanted. Her thoughts drifted back to school and she finished up in the shower. Christina dried off and walked into her bedroom. She had to figure out what to wear. It had to be perfect. Christina opened her walk-in closet. She decided on a dark green button up shirt and a pair of blue Gap jeans. She returned to the bathroom and blow dryed her hair. When she was finished she went downstairs to eat breakfast.
“Hey Chris, ready for the big day?” her father asked. Christina’s father Todd was getting ready to go to work. He was a professor at the local university.
“Yes I am.” Christina replied. She grabbed the box of Cherrios from the cupboard.
“Well I have to be going before I’m late. Good luck.” he said as he grabbed his coffee. He kissed Christina on the forehead before he walked out the door.
“Bye Dad.” Christina was just finishing her breakfast when her mother entered the kitchen.
“Hey Mom.” Christina said.
“Good morning Chris. Your up early.”
“I didn’t want to oversleep.” Christina’s mother Elizabeth was a defense attorney. She was all ready dressed and getting ready to leave.
“Chris remember to look the door before you leave. I bought some turkey so you can make yourself a sandwich for lunch. I should be home in time to make dinner. Have fun at school. I love you.”
“Love you too Mom.” Christina said just before her mother closed the door. Whe went to the sink and rinsed out her bowl. She made herself a sandwich for lunch, got an apple, a bottle of water, and put it into her backpack. She put on her jacket grabbed her bag and keys, locked the door, and went to her car.
Christina arrived at school a half an hour early. She went to her locker. She looked up and down the hall to see if she could find James. He wasn’t anywher in sight. He must be with his friends she thought so she headed to homeroom. On the way there she meet up with her friend Katie.
“Hey Kate.”
“Hey Chris.”
“You ready for this year?” Katie asked.
“Sure am. How was your summer?” Christina replied.
“Boring. Yours?”
“I worked most of it. Trying to save money for college.” They both walked to homeroom and waited for the bell. Christina looked up at the clock. Five more minutes and she took her seat. She looked at the door expecting to see the same faces enter the room. But the figure that she saw wasn’t fimiliar. All Christina could do was stare.
