“I still love you…and I know that I can’t stop loving you. I’ve tried so hard to forget you, to get you to forget me…just tell me what to do.” she stands so close that I can touch her without moving that I can feel her breath wash over me. “Are we going to do this?”
Her hands moving along my sides, her voice a whisper that surrounds me and fills my soul. Her breath teasing every part of me, her fingers curling slightly against my skin. God the smell of her replaces my blood, it leaves me holding on to her for dear life, grasping her arm’s wanting to fall in them. She courses through my veins creating an eternal heat that makes me whimper against her touch. God I love her, the smooth feel of her shirt on my cheek her hair tickling the back of my neck. I just want to go home, to wake up in her arms and not have to worry that she won’t be there.
“As much as I love you…hell no.” the sound of her voice, of her laughter sending those chills that makes my body burn. “I love you I just can’t…I can’t get married.”
“yeah well I know what you mean…who’s going to tell your mom?” her arms holding me close, the way she says it her voice squeaking at the end in that nervous way.
“Ha-ha …rock, paper, scissors?” looking into her eyes that emit this emerald light that makes you wonder, that makes you wish that you knew everything about her.
There bright, just as bright as they were in that picture. Her smile, god I love her smile…it makes everything melt away, that no matter what we’ll be okay. That no matter what… we’ll be together. She holds her hand out in a fist, and I can remember the only time I have ever seen her make one. She punched Mark, and started to cry I watched her and it tore me apart to see her hurt. That scar on her hand taught nothing more than a faint line, shit I bet she’ll choose rock.

The dying smells of dinner, the last good byes from everyone. That look of pity, of good bye flashing through there eyes. They smile that awkward smile and all I can hear is the loud muffled shouts from over my head. My feet burning with that need to run, my stomach tied in a knot gripped with fear. I can her yell louder in Spanish and I am frozen to the spot, what if she doesn’t go for it? What if she actually pulls out a pitchfork or torch and starts chasing me down the street? Shit I shouldn’t have eaten as much, well I couldn’t say no to her family. They all keep saying that I’m too skinny…looking down, maybe if I wasn’t as skinny she would like me better.
