Alice was so nervous. She hadn’t been on a real date in forever. She was hoping she was dressed appropriately. She had on jeans and one of those shirts Dana loved (that clung to her in some places and fall off her in others) with a pair of low heels.
Her buzzer rang at 7:30 exactly. Dana. She buzzed her up and waited for the knock at the door. She opened it and her breath caught for a moment. Dana looked amazing. She had on a green halter top and tight jeans. She was also carrying a bouquet of flowers.
Alice tried to cover for her reaction. “Is there a reason you didn’t just use your key?” She asked playfully.
“’Cause it’s a *date*, Al.” Dana responded with phony exasperation. She then gave Alice a huge grin and handed her the flowers.
“These are lovely. Thank you so much.” Alice leaned in and gave Dana a quick kiss on the lips. She turned to put the flowers in water and missed Dana touching a finger to her lips and breaking out into another big smile.
Once Alice had the flowers in water, she gathered her purse and got ready to leave. Dana looked at her with sparkling eyes and said “You ready to go, babe?” Alice blushed and nodded her head and Dana escorted her out the door.
Dana was the perfect date. She treated Alice like a queen. She opened doors and catered to her every whim. She did everything she wished she had done when they were dating before. It was how Dana felt Alice deserved to be treated.
Alice for her part was in heaven. She was exercising flirting muscles that she thought were long atrophied and could tell Dana loved it. It was a real date-date — probably the first they had been on. It was not just two friends hanging out.
They first went to dinner. Dana found a wonderful little restaurant and they had a delicious Italian dinner. After that, they went for a stroll on the boardwalk. Dana won her girl several stuffed animals until Alice made her stop — she was worried about there being space in the Mercedes for them. They then spent several delightful moments finding young children and giving the toys away (after asking the parent’s permission, of course). Alice kept one scrawny four legged thing which was definitely the runt of the litter in terms of the prizes. She and Dana spent a bit of time debating what the thing actually was. They got to the point that they were laughing so hard they had to sit down on a quiet bench.

Alice seems as naive as a local school girl. It’s a very good pace you’re going at.
SNOGGING!?! LMFAO I really did love it, how did you know? It’s like highschool except with a legal drinking age! I can’t believe I didn’t comment on the last one! I’m sorry hun, I read it and loved it and totally thought I’d commented. I’m kinda dumb though, can you forgive me? I don’t think it’ll come as any surprise to you that I adored this chapter. Very aww-worthy, and you used the word snogging! That’s one of my absolute favorite words EVER, lol. It’s good to see Dana being patient physically with Alice. Not that I think she ever wouldn’t be, but…yeah. I’m making very little sense. Love, love, love this!

Wohoo, 2 updates in such a short amount of time. Good to see these two dating again. I hope they don’t fall in their old habits again. But I think they both have learned their lessons and this time everything will work out. (But I’m a hopeless romantic.)

The answer is alot, I knw I’ve been AWOL I went on holiday and then just abandoned my interenet to enjoy the nice weather and then I realised THE MOST AMAZING STORY EVER WAS GOING ON AND I WASN’T READING IT!!! Hello MaGoose, Wow I finally made it… sorry for the later arrival :)… well that was just so very good and sweet and cute. I absolutely love how these two interact with one another and I absolutely love how innocent they are when trying their hands at this dating thing again… they seem so nervous with each other and yet they know one another like the back of their hands… it is just so very endearing… I cannot wait to see where you take this story it is so so good… you Rock.
