The song drifted down, and Tina was standing in front of Bette, no longer dancing, her head cocked to one side, watching Bette intently, “You never see what is in front of you, staring at you, ready to love you, you never have. You’ve always pursued, but I won’t pursue you. I’ll meet you half way there, but only if you see me for who I am and who you are.”
“No, I never have seen the love that I had, but I missed it when it was gone,” admitted Bette softly.
The crowd milled around them, but there they stood, enraptured with their own revelation. Bette’s eyes flickered over Tina’s face, neither one saying a word.
“Why are they just standing there?” asked Alice, waiting for the much anticipated kiss. They HAD to kiss, it was written in the stars, something had to happen, because they couldn’t walk away from each other again, could they?
“I think that they are coming to a crossroads,” said Lara softly, looking at Shane, reaching out, and touching Shane’s stomach lightly, “I know exactly what that feels like.”
“Me too,” smiled Shane, watching Bette and Tina stare at each other. “Do you think…?”
“Obviously something is going on, but don’t look at me, I just got back,” laughed Rosita, kissing Alice. “Got a room?”
“Oh yeah, I have a room all right,” said Alice, jumping up from her seat. The lights of the club started coming up, telling them that the party was over.
“I suggest you take me there,” said Rosita, her barrio accent thicker. “I’ve got some catching up to do.”
“Hmmm, I like the sound of that,” cooed Alice, kissing Rosita again. Still unbelieving that she was alive, and back, and had actually asked her to marry her. It was mind numbing and Alice was floating on a cloud.
“You going to take me to bed too?” asked Shane, wiggling her eyebrows which made Lara laugh.
“Do you want me to?”
“God, yes, my feet are killing me,” grinned Shane.
They all stood, Shane looked around, observing Spencer hugging Riley at the bottom of the stage. Riley was playing with the wild locks of Spence’s hair. “Hey, where did they go?”
Alice looked around, not seeing Bette or Tina anywhere, they all turned around, looking, “Their gone,” said Alice.

How could you leave it with Tina and Bette just disappearing.I hope at least they went to bed together and not to sleep.
That was beautifully done now where have our girls scampered off to, hopefully to start taking that next chance and see where it takes them.
that was great I just hope that u have at least one or two more chapters for this as I feel that there is stll a bit more to write about if so please soon if not what a great story I have love every part of it thank you so much for writing it

well, well Janet…who would have figured you for such a soft, sweet romantic?? Loved the chapter, definitely worth the wait, as always!! Had to read it twice to fully savor your brilliance. The songs were perfectly woven through the story. Love is certainly in the air… looks like a mad dash to the alter for the lovely couples. Fun to see Ro back for Alice. Also loved the appearance of alpha Tina…so hot… but can’t believe you actually left off where you did! pout…Tease! Can’t wait for the next chapter. Have a good week.

Damn, Janet. That was really good. So much going on, and Spencer’s lyrics weaving in and out amongst it all. Shane and Lara are really just… I love em. They’re cute, they’re funny, they’re sexy… It’s a winner all round. And they’ve already moved into that old wise and married stage, and like, faster than a speeding bullet! …Al & Ro! They took way longer to break up than they did to make up, but marriage? The heart wants what it wants, and they’ve got it. Good on em, I say! Bette… I wish Kit was there to see her sister making it. Seems like B & T are meant to be… but we’ll see, shall we? I’m still waiting for that sackful of pennies to drop. The optimist in me sees everything working out, though.
